  • App is abandoned

Whatever you do, do not purchase a subscription for any of the pocketbrain books made by this developer. He’s still pulling down subscriptions and hadn’t updated or changed a single thing on any of the apps in over 4 years. Stay away! The information on the apps are extremely out of date.
  • Good tool!

This is a good tool to have on the go! Very resourceful and helpful to remind you of things!
  • Great app!

Love the ease of use, the app works well! The app is free and you get limited information in its form, but with a small fee for yearly subscription you open up the rest of the app and you get yearly updates with all the new info for that year which is fantastic!
  • Great tool

I have the book and wanted the app too. The buttons are well set up and information is easy to find. The developers are easy to contact and will make changes when needed in a timely fashion. This is a great tool for all LE....especially for old timers like me.
  • Don’t buy I️t stick with the book

Don’t buy it stick with the pocket book instead the app just directs you to links on the internet. Poorly set up even has tabs so you can add laws on your own. Was expecting for them to put It all together

    Developer Response

Hi Jon, Thanks for recommending our Pocket sized book. However the app really does have a lot more info. We only have one tab set up to link to the internet. That one is to read the full code if you'd need that full code reference; instead of the quick reference super condensed summaries that are provided under the main "Find Code" button in our app, sorry you seemed to have missed that one. Yes, we had a button so you could submit a code for us to add to the app if we missed one. But have since removed it because of this kind of confusion. We ask that you just email us if there's a correction or a code that you'd like added feedback@pocketbrainbook.com I'd welcome you to try our app out again. We've made some great additions to the app. We've added a lot of city and county codes recently. Added a Favorites list, and even a custom list to add your own codes or info into a personal list on your phone. I hope you give us another chance, Stay safe!
  • Everything I Need

I had the book last year, which is great, but I love the convenience & ease of the digital version. The "find codes" button has all the abbreviated codes listed in alphabetical order or I can type in a search to get what I need quickly. Rarely do I need to read the full code, but if I do they have a link to the govt page for that under the "full code" button. Also, I really like the extra info that they put in with phone #s, FSTs, 4 Keys, etc. Overall, it has everything I need!

  • Rip off

Definitely not worth 10 bucks. Just links to sites most officers already use. Will be seeking a refund.

    Developer Response

The "Read Full Codes" button is the only button that links to the government website. All other information in this app was entered manually by us; which took months. We put that button in there simply for convenience for the app user. We strive to give TX police the most up to date and accurate information as possible.
  • Great App!

I have last years pocket sized book, which is also a really great source of info. But I saw that the app came out, so I got it. Same content with actually a bit more info. Great drug chart section. All the codes, plus I can look up the full codes here too. Great app. Highly recommend.
