Fantastic idea that could be further improved
Thank you for creating this wonderful and innovative app. I thoroughly enjoy scrolling down this news feed and learning about the intricacies of the Russian Revolution. Only a few issues:
1. The posts I note are dated as if they are current, eg from Jan 2017. I understand what you are trying to do but for the purposes of learning about the past and understanding where each event and each thought fits together temporally, it would be more beneficial to have them dated as they were written/expressed.
2. A little more info on each of the key figures would be appreciated. Perhaps just a small paragraph could be fit into their “about” section.
Finally, I would love to see this app expand to other historical periods- in the West, it is very difficult to get an appreciation of history from these alternate points of view. For instance an app on the Maoist regime in China, set during the Cultural Revolution, would be incredible. Perhaps with some success you guys could approach interested historians of other periods and create something even bigger. I know that this would certainly have been a much more engaging way to learn about modern history back in high school. Thank you!
