I CANNOT ANYMORE!!!!

The app is very limited for the price. I have been a customer for a couple of years and will not be renewing. In the past couple of years there has been no upgrades to the app. The images are recycled, don’t put a mandala behind a picture and upload it as a new one, it’s simply not. I found many free apps that allow so much more. Do they have a lot of POC in the other apps? Nope , but at least I can alter an image and make it how I choose. The other apps have blank pages where you can draw or color something of your own. The other app has a way to interact with other people without having to go through social media. The only way to interact with others on the app is through social media and not everyone is on social media. I’m tired of having to zoom all the way in on pictures to color just the smallest detail or not being able to color a detail because you can’t do something as simple as change the size of the pencil. There’s only 2 options and that’s fill-in or pencil. If it’s a background that is more complex than a mandala you can’t even color it, it all fills in as the same color. And because they sort of add their own gray scale to the pictures , the color you choose will look different on every picture. THIS APP NEEDS A-LOT OF WORK!!

Great idea… needs to be cleaned up

I love this adult coloring book. It’s literally the only one out where you can switch modes from 1 click to really feel like you’re coloring if you have a pencil…to a extent. How to pick colors needs a better. Needs an easier way to go through the colors. More tools needed to really customize the color you want. When you zoom in you can literally see the actual person (creepy). The further you scroll the pictures gets worse being see through without even clicking on it. A better selection needs to be done in all categories. The most pictures are in the “people” category. Again love this app, great idea. Just put some work into it. If you’re going to do something do it BIG and with CONFIDENCE! 😘

Too Difficult for My Elderly Brain

Yeah…. I thought this would be more like other coloring apps I’ve used where you just tap a number and match it to the same number in a picture.
As much as I 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙮 appreciate the ability to choose colors that represent more closely the 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 spectrum of my people—as opposed to matching numbers and random colors—navigating this app was a bit too challenging for me and the cognitive issues I’ve been experiencing lately.
I really 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 this idea I just wish it were a bit simpler for me to use.
(Cognitive issues are 𝙨𝙤 not fun.🥺😞)
Thank you so much though for having a better idea!

So sorry that you found the app too difficult! We will try to work on more simplicity going forward.

Love most of the art

Would love to give it 5 stars, but a lot of the art is lacking in creativity. Some of the backgrounds are patterns that serve no purposes and very time consuming to color. It’s as if you’re just trying to fill in a space vs giving us actual items to color. There is the ability to create colors, but would like to be able to create more iridescent and blended colors. Other then your People category the other categories are pitiful and I I would give them 2 stars. I subscribe to many other color apps and yours is the only e that never deliver new pics on time. I do t think I’ll renew when my subscription is over.

A FUBU coloring book!

I love to color and have a bunch of for us by us physical coloring books but I wanted a coloring app I could do on my phone and iPad when I didn’t feel like busting all my stuff out and I’m so happy I found this! Other coloring books don’t include us when they create the female and male images. Like yes I can color her dark skin buttt her features and hair won’t fit 🙄. The color options are bombbb anddd you can make your own colors! None of the other 3 coloring books I downloaded had this option. They also didn’t have the GIF feature, for when you’re done. I love it so much I’m buying the premium version lol

We really appreciate it, and so glad you're enjoying the app!

Excited, then disappointed

I was so excited to discover this particular app since there’s not a lot of coloring book apps based on POC, opened the app for the first time only to discover there’s a weekly change after the free trial period. I don’t mind paying for an app like this if it’s a one time charge, but how much content is added weekly to justify charging $5.99 each week? I’d happily pay that fee to unlock everything all at once, but not every week. I understand developers have expenses, but maybe there could be a couple of different paid subscription offers. Sad I had to delete this app, I had high hopes for a relaxing coloring experience.

We also offer a $29.99/year plan (our most popular) and $9.99/month plans. You didn’t see them on the same page? In addition there is a ton of free content for people who choose not to subscribe (of which there are many). Hope that helps!

Not great

I have the subscription and sadly I will not renew it when it is up. It’s not worth the price, I can’t recall the last time I looked at the app and wanted to color a picture. They only literally have 2 tools to use ( either fill or a pencil) you can’t even change the size of the pencil ( there are many free apps that offer that) and they seem to be pouring all of their resources in AI apps. I check social media often and all I see are a bunch of photos created by an AI app ( AI is a big market and there are plenty of apps that do that and companies who specialize in specifically AI)but, not a lot of companies have a coloring book for black people. So, It’s GREAT to have an app owned by a black couple and it’s GREAT to have images that look like us but I can’t justify the price. It’s frustrating that they can find the time to create new apps but not update anything on the one that is unique.

Really appreciate the love as well as your feedback! We definitely have these ideas & features you mentioned on your roadmap. So you’re aware, the companies behind the apps you mentioned are multinationals who have raised up to $20 million in private equity or more, while we are a black couple in the Washington DC area making it happen ourselves because we saw a problem 🙏🏾 Not an excuse at all, as we still plan to bring you the best product regardless, just please stick with us as we work our way there with the resources we have ❤️ Feel free to tag us #colornoirapp @colornoirapp on IG so we can feature your work on our social channels and give you credit, and we would love to see you in our Color Noir FB Group as well!

Color Noir Fan

I love this app! It has great quality. But the 1 thing is that, the good pictures are all locked. And I’m not saying that ugly or bad quality pictures are unlocked, it’s just that, the ones that are blocked, they are better. But now your probably saying “Why don’t you just unblock them?” But that’s the issue, I can’t. I have to pay like $30-$60 just to unlock the great pictures. But other then that, I love this app, It is so fun and you can use your creatively designed mind, just for this app. I love this so much! One of the best coloring apps ever!!

Bye,
Color Noir Fan! <3

A great, therapeutic experience

I have been using Color Noir App for about one year. It’s a great way to unwind, relax, have fun and explore your creativity. As a person of Color I did not grow up with coloring books that were reflective of my reality. Thank you Color Noir for creating this opportunity. The color palette is also quite wide allowing you to really reach into the depth of your imagination.
