User Beware - Fraudsters Abound
I entered my information to ship a vehicle and received multiple bids, many of which were from abroad. I received many calls and texts from people from the Middle East , India and other parts of the world. When I requested the quote they provided a really nice quote and instructions to pay via Venmo or Zelle. That was my first clue that I might be dealing with questionable characters. When I informed them that I wasn't comfortable with the arrangement they suggested I pay the driver, whom also was Indian. When I asked for the Depart of Transportation (DOT) registration information they provided one of a business that was inactive. When I searched on google maps using the address on their invoice and their website I found a business that was something other than a carrier. More important, this business had no reviews from previous customers on Yelp. I would not trust any of the businesses on this platform. DO NOT GIVE anyone a payment using anything other than a credit card number which you can dispute.
