  • Too much distraction

I found the changes between practice and audition to be to much. Bugs like where the instructor says he’ll count and doesn’t make it worse.

This comment is factually incorrect. This is not a bug. Just prior to the audition at the end of Lesson 08, the app clearly explains "From now on, during each audition, Musiah's 'count-in' will be silent. Watch for the numbers that will be displayed on your screen to count you in, for example... 1, 2, 3, Go." It's a pity some people like to gripe via negative reviews instead of listening to / following instructions or asking for assistance if needed.

  • Awesome

I don’t write reviews for apps. I have tried a handful of piano apps and I know how to make the piano make sounds. I can understand sheet music, but can’t play music. Not really. I just did the first lesson with this one. I feel like my understanding of music increased dramatically. The intro counts and how the music is displayed is very helpful. Well done. Thank you.

  • Professional Lessons for Whole Family

We found Musiah online before it came to the App Store. The iPad version is a major enhancement to the experience. Supports adaptable learning modes as well as discipline setting depending on desired level of mastery. Even though today my teenagers only pass off levels to get the incentives I offer them, the hope is one day it will pay off. With our busy schedules, music lessons and piano would not be a reality. Thanks to the creator of Musiah for giving this to our family. And such a bargain for so much in return! Truly a gift to the world.

  • Authentic and Fun!

Great app. The AI teacher is realistic and feels like a real 1 on 1 lesson. Game mode for kids is fun with option to skip for adults.
Beware that usb connection to your iPad is required.

  • A fantastic tool for adults and children

I have used Musiah for a couple of years and really looked forward to the iPad version. Returning to learning the piano as an adult after many years was daunting and I tried several methods. Without doubt Musiah is the best of them and allows you to progress fairly quickly to both read and play music. Although I’m over 50 I enjoy the story version and games of Musiah. I’m just about to try the grown up theme for a while to see how it goes.

A huge thank you to Brendan Hogan for creating Musiah and for providing outstanding customer service to resolve technical issues. I almost hope I don’t ever reach the end of the lessons and will no doubt keep coming back to Musiah for many years.

  • Amazingly effective, and available anywhere anytime

With no piano teachers within hours our 7 and 11 year olds can play piano well thanks to Musiah. The older one is nearing the end of Musiah and playing around a piano grade 4/5 level (piano grade 6 is considered a grade 10 credit in high school). She can pick out the melody and more quite quickly by ear from music she hears and plays confidently from sheet music. Our kids started on the Windows Musiah app about 3 years ago and moved onto the iPad beta as soon as it became available.

Though the kids haven’t, we’ve taken some traditional as well as Suzuki piano lessons in the past and would choose Musiah over those now for as far as it goes. It works well and the flexibility is awesome when you’ve got a lot of other things going on!
