  • Not correct

What good is this app, if the information is incorrect
  • Could be great, but ....

I the simple way that this app allows one to move easily through time. However, the ultimate test is the accuracy of the positions of the moons. In this app, the positions are not even close. I thought that maybe the time was off by some constant value, but this not the case. I hope the developer will correct the problem. Also, I would love to see the Giant Red Spot included in a future version. If the improvements are made, I will be back with enthusiasm.

  • Nice, but no cigar

I thought that there might be a setting or something that was off, but in the end I confirmed with a telescope sighting that the moons just do not match. Less beautiful graphics, but accurate info can be found on the web. Great for illustrating purposes only.
  • Cool app but doesn’t match what I see

As the other reviewers noted, I have looked at the moons many times with binoculars and last night with a nice scope and the positions of the moons were very different than what the app says they should be.

Would also be nice to know if a moon was behind the planet or in front of it. Otherwise very cool!

  • Who in Ganymede gave this one star??

It is a Jupiter’s moon tracker. It tells you the positions of Jupiter’s moons now, then, and back then. It’s the one app I have that does exactly what it says. Not one Io more and not one Europa less. Callisto please!!
  • Not accurate

Is it just me or is this tracker not accurate. Every time I observe Jupiter and its moons through my telescope, I compare it to the app and where it says the moons should be. It’s not accurate at all. Would love it if it was accurate.
  • Please stop hating!!

I can see why youre upset. But just because you hate it dosent mean the creator is happy that youre hating it. I mean its just not nice. Im facinated about Jupiter, and I need more facts about it. So pls stop hating this game. Even if it’s only showing the 4 Galilean moons. It shows how they orbit Jupiter each minute, second, or year. But no matter what you say, I will still love this game so much. Thanks creator of the Jupiter Moon Tracker! And i’m so sorry that people are hating your games. Bye!

  • Jupiter moon tracker

This could be a great, cool app EXCEPT that it’s not accurate, as another reviewer noted. I can’t imagine why it’s wrong, given that it has a single function — showing the positions of Jupiter’s four Galilean moons — but as it is, it’s useless. Addendum: The app has another strange feature — the four moons all pass back and forth across the front of the planet over and over. They never go around the “back” side of Jupiter as they orbit, as you would expect them to do. They are never occluded, and this is definitely incorrect.

  • Looks cool but inaccurate!

Nice graphic display of orbits but doesn’t match what I am seeing through my telescope. Also, I miss the Great Red Spot tracking from an obsolete app that I am trying to replace.
