The watermarks are not the best if your brand is a small, somewhat less noticeable mark. But everything else works. If the text bugs out on your iOS, change something and try again. So much fun and also a challenge: not every meme page is star-quality but that’s alright. Don’t sweat it and try and just focus on being creative.
This app makes making memes easy and convenient! My only complaint is that meme formats are not kept up to date... all templates are out of date and in the meme world there are new templates each and every month.
I’ve been using Momus for a while to convert content posted on Facebook for Instagram, and it does the job perfectly — purchased no watermark and multiple picture expansions. That being said, I would gladly pay $2.99 for an expansion that allowed the same captioning feature but over a video. Video content is becoming increasingly popular esp. with the growth of Tiktok and it’s currently hard to caption them.
I’ve been wanting to make some memes for a long time and this is the only app that has a one time purchase to get rid of the watermark. I also love the interface and how easy it is to use. One complaint I do have is I wish you could update the templates more often.
I’ve tried several meme apps over the last few years but none of them have made me WANT to use a meme app like Momus. With Momus I’ve been able to stay creative and consistent because I genuinely enjoy using the app. I saw some people say the app “needs more” but the simplicity of the app is what makes it great. I like pulling into a CVS parking lot when I have an idea and busting out a meme in 2 minutes because I’m not distracted by 1000 font options and editing tools. I also like consistency with how my memes look and this keeps my ig account pleasing to the eye. Other app settings refresh every time you open the app meaning you have to mess with the font size, the justification, etc.
I’d love to see video capability and text overlay in the next update. Trending images could be helpful as well but hey, you’re holding a phone.. just use google 😉

I love the layout, it is super easy to make memes. However, I have used all the templates, and I need more. I didn’t spend $5 only to run out of meme templates and would really appreciate if you made more. Thanks.
I really, really, really like this app. It’s great for making memes. Functions are built into memes that have text placed in certain areas too.
Despite its power, functionality, and ease of use, the app is in desperate need of an update. New memes are needed and the built-in Reddit search isn’t very user-friendly.
Would be a great app but the “saved app” section is a complete mess. It constantly saves over (erases) existing memes for some reason. It seems like you can only save ONE of each meme template even if it is a different picture with different text.
Also there is no way to delete memes once you save them, furthering the problem and The “momus picks” seem to never be updated.
For an app that costs $5-10 bucks, I honestly expected a lot more.
Also, I sent an email to complain last week. Still have not gotten a response.
I’m subscribed to make my own watermark, and it’s awesome. Pls don’t ever delete this app. I have an Instagram page that’s thriving and this is the only app that I use for editing. Can’t find anything like it, and again, I love it. Thank you :-)
I purchased the Launch Bundle, which included a few template packs and removed the watermark, in March 2018. Used it without issue through June, but now it is asking me to pay more to remove watermarks. Customer service hasn’t gotten back to me about a fix despite 3 emails
