Mevo+ Issues

I’ve tried multiple times to connect the FlightScope Mevo+ to the app multiple times to no avail. For such an expensive unit, the app does not have a good user interface or troubleshooting process.

App is really outdated, needs capability to customize clubs

The app has worked fine for me and the MEVO itself is a great product, but this review is about the app.

1) The app is really outdated; it looks like it was made 10 years ago. If I purchase a $500 product, it should have a premium app interface that clearly receives frequent software support and updates, even if it’s the “low-end” of the product line. This app is long overdue for a more modern look and more efficient usability.

2) It would be nice to customize club lofts. Not everyone hits the same lofted driver or even PW.

3) If there are 8 possible data points to display on-screen, I should have the option to display any number of those, not a maximum of 6.

I do enjoy using this launch monitor. For the money, the capability of the monitor has been great, but the software is subpar and I wish it would get more attention.

Crashing randomly

Worked super reliably at first but since Jan has been a total pain. Crashing randomly . Tried reinstalling app and no luck. Was thinking of getting Mevo plus but if their software support is non existent then maybe not.

Not even close to accurate

My mevo is very inaccurate already 2 clubs off. Reached out to customer service and they always come back with the same fixes with no resolution. Got it for Christmas and asked for a refund in January they told me I was past my return date. Very dissatisfied with customer service and product.

App is an absolute nightmare.

Since you need the app to work properly in order to get the data, I’m giving this a thumbs down. The app closes down constantly during mid use (during a 15 minute stretch closed 7 times and could only get ONE reading), right now stay away from this till they get an app that works.

Unusable update as the app keeps crashing.

Unusable update as the app keeps crashing. Poor app support for MEVO since last year. No major update. Not even basic update to scale the app to larger iPhone screen size.

App consistent crashes after latest update

This worked flawlessly for me for a year. Ever since the latest update the app crashes within 30 seconds to 1 minute of viewing any data. Especially annoying when it crashes during the middle of a session and misses shots. Please fix.

Fantastic so far

Great work, pairing and setup is easy. Have had consistent performance at indoor and outdoor ranges. Tracking works as expected. Overall very satisfied. Could really use a UI refresh. Would like to be able to manage sessions i.e. delete, merge, edit. Would like to exclude shots from session averages without deleting. During capture would like to have the data blocks maximized/ fonts bigger so i can see it more easily on smaller phones. Ability to pause/restart a session. Look forward to future updates.

Tolerable software; Great Hardware

Love the Mevo. I’ve used it for countless practice sessions over the last year.

In my opinion, the app could desperately use the following improvements:

1) Text to Speech Improvements - My only real issue is that the text to speech is overly wordy, and an entire sentence spoken every time I hit the ball bothers everyone on the range. I understand that I can turn this off, but the better solution would be to have “quiet mode” that only speaks a number. For example, instead of “Carry is two hundred thirty seven point three yards”; just “two hundred thirty seven”, or better yet, “Thirty-Seven”.

2) Fine Scrubbing - It is nearly impossible to scroll to the moment of impact on a slo-mo recording.

3) Compare Swing Video - I currently have to find my swings in my photo library, export them, and import them to a 3rd party app.

4) Tag/Comment on Swings - Would like to be able to easily find good/bad swings, and remember what I was trying to work on during the session.

5) Data Box Size - It would be better if I would increase or decrease the overall size of the combined boxes in relation to the camera zoom and or the number of data fields selected.

6) Swing Data Comparison - Ideally, I would be able to easily compare the numbers on a given club over time. Say I’m working on achieving a lower launch on my 6i, I would like to be able to quickly filter all 6i shots and see the average per session.

7) Swing anomaly Identification - If I hit 50 6 irons, it would be nice if the app could ask identify swings outside of a given standard deviation for certain characteristics, and automatically eliminate mishits from the data set.

Non-functional device and horrible customer service

Purchased a mevo and it never worked properly. Consistently reported distances on average 2 club lengths off, missed shots etc. worked with support for 2 weeks, and still the unit did not work properly. Asked to return device and company made me pay shipping and a restocking fee despite their garbage product! Tried to reach customer service repeatedly for an explanation but i was constantly ignored. Buyer beware.....
