Don’t waste your time trying
Great idea but the app doesn’t work. After logging in, 99% of the time it drops back to the login/new subscription page. The app hasn’t been updated for a couple of years and the app help link goes to an Insta page that also hasn’t been updated for a couple of years. Perhaps the developer has lost interest, although is happy to keep taking our subscriptions. No thanks.

Great music, app needs work
A great concept. Like other reviewers I find the main music services overwhelming when I just want to listen to some great music without having to curate it for myself or suffer an AI picked playlist. Great. The app itself is quirky, and not entirely in a good way. It’s hard to get back to the now playing screen if you go anywhere else in the app. It seems impossible to stop/pause within the app (am I missing something?!) so have to use the iPhone control centre (mute is a strange option to have instead.) When using iPods the music blasts out of the phone when removing the headphones instead of stopping. Hardly a desired behaviour. I’ve not tried in the car yet. I’d like to subscribe… I’ll have to see whether these annoyances are worth putting up with. At least there is a free trial.

I love the music on this app. All hand selected, no ads. I hope it gets everyone gets the recognition for selected such wonderful music.
Good idea poorly administered
This is a good idea, although the classic selection is really disappointing unless you like the cheesier elements of Classic FM. A pity then that the app doesn’t recognise that I have paid my subscription and asks me to pay again. I won’t be renewing as a result.
Am I doing something wrong?
I love the principle of Stack, and maybe it’s my phone (DOI dinosaur with iPhone 5plus running iOS 13), but it randomly seems to stop playing sometimes, and when it’s sulking like this, nothing I can do will coax it back. This is pretty irritating and a deal breaker 😞
Also, I can see no easy way to pause it - I have to switch screen off so that the control bar is there when I switch it back on.
If you can tell me what I’m doing wrong, I’ll pay beyond my free trial!

Read about this in The Daily Telegraph’s Luxury supplement. Thought I’d give it a try but failed to sign in as I was unable to get past the first password entry field. It would appear the developers have not tested the sign on screen on phones with limited display real estate such as my 2020 iPhone SE (2nd edition). Bye.

A joy to use
Love this app so much!
My entire working day is based on decision making and this app has changed my life. At the end of the day all I want to do is enjoy the weather with a drink and listen to some music. Before I had to go through what should a simple process of deciding what I wanted to listed too, simple right? However that for some reason seemed an impossible task so I would switch on 6 music and hope it was the mood I was feeling. Now since getting stack its like a world has opened up! Good tunes and exactly the tempo I’m after at that exact moment! So easy to use no faffing around, simple clean perfect! I would highly recommend!!

Gosh, how wonderful
I had no idea that I had a Stack shaped hole in my life, but 2 minutes in it became obvious that it had been there but was now blessedly and comfortably plugged.
