A solid markdown editor with OneDrive integration
It took a leap of faith to spend A$10 on an app with no reviews. But I’m glad I did.
I had been using an app called Permanote as my text/markdown editor on iOS. I liked it a lot, though I always wished it had OneDrive integration. Then I bought a new iPhone, and found that Permanote had sadly disappeared from the app store. I looked for a replacement, and this was the only one I could see that seemed to offer the functionality of Permanote with the added benefit of OneDrive integration.
I’ve only been using it for a few minutes (so take my review with a pinch of salt) but so far, it seems to do exactly what it promises. Setting up OneDrive integration was fairly easy, and it only takes two clicks to view a preview of what my markdown code will look like once converted to html and rendered in a browser. Not there yet
This is close to being a very nice app, but there are a few problems making it virtually unusable for me.
1. Can’t adjust line-wrap column. This is fine for Markdown with no line breaks, but if you get Markdown already having line breaks at say, column 80, it looks terrible.
2. There are some GUI bugs where text or buttons will fall slightly off-screen on my iPad, or move on top of other GUI elements.
It’s worth noting GoCoEdit by the same developer doesn’t have these problems and is now my primary Markdown & text editor. It doesn’t have a nice simple view with text centered on the screen and wide margins the way GTW does, but it’s far more usable.Show lessjibzec
App doesn’t open
I installed the app, defined a new snippet to test out the feature and now the app crashes as soon as I click on it. This new snippet used the default text and filename, nothing was modified.Org-user

So many years, lost in the file sync wilderness of iOS. So many Markdown editors, assuming the only cloud storage systems worth supporting are iCloud and Dropbox. So much frustration, trying in vain to make OneDrive work with apps like iA Writer and Pretext via the Files app. So many documents inexplicably duplicated. So much progress lost when Files fails to sync at all.
At last, I have stumbled upon GTW, and it just works. My OneDrive folder is synced, my markdown files in tow, my edits instantly reflected across iPhone, iPad, and PC.
I am a simple man. I do not want for fancy things like direct Wordpress publishing, writing goals, or exhaustive outlines. All I ask is that when I write in Markdown on one device, that writing is available on my other devices. And to my astonishment, GTW delivers. It makes my sole nitpicks with this app—no apparent way to sort a folder by date modified, uninspiring fonts—seem incredibly minor.Show lessThePimpOfSound
A markdown editor that syncs with Google Drive
I just purchased and started using this app, and am very pleased with it. I needed a way to work with .md files on Google Drive, and GTW does it well so far.DinTokyo

The worst app I’ve ever bought
This isn’t even a good text editor. It’s non-standard iOS pop ups that disappear before you can click them are a constant irritation. As for it’s description as a markdown editor, it is extremely weak with few features and poor parsing of the markdown text. You can get a very good free Markdown editor with TextEdit+ or if you want the best go for 1Writer (my personal favourite) or Editorial, also excellent.

Please fix one annoying bug
The whole editor is great and support sFTP which is exactly what I want, but there is one annoying bug: When I'm using an external keyboard with an input method (Like Chinese Input Method) with floating word-selecting box, the box's position is just not correct. It sticks to top of the view. I'm having the same problem with GoCoEdit too. Please fix it or I have to abandon this app.Show lessyun er
