Description of R2R
Put the Fun in Functional Groups with Prof. Rudi Rabbit!
Aimed at those studying ALevel Chemistry, this app is designed to help you learn the different functional groups that may come up in your examinations or extension competitions.
Use the 'Learn' screen to review the different groups and how you tell them apart, 'Practice' with different R-Groups and then 'Play' and try and beat the professor under timed conditions.
Once you have beaten the professor then you are ready for some of Race to Revise's other organic synthesis games.

My ONLY complaint is that it is mildly inconvenient in practice mode to have to hit the next button every time. If it would auto go to the next group after selecting the correct answer it would take this app from 9.7/10 -> 10/10.
overall great
my only request is that you could filter out groups that you don’t need to learn
Very repetitive
This has the potential to be a good tool but so far the quiz option is repetitive to the point of being frustrating. I, no joke, was given alkane 5 times in a row. I thought it was a glitch but then I got other functional groups repetitively too. This app would be better if they had a quiz option where they pointed to functional groups within a larger molecule for you to identify. Also, implementing spaced repetition would vastly improve the effectiveness.
Developer Response
Dear movie_companion,
Thank you for the feedback. It’s appreciated.
I will ensure that we look again at the random question selection function. We have had the same question twice in a row before due to it randomly selecting questions, but five means something else must be going on.
Thanks for the suggestions of new features as well. We will put them forward for consideration.
Best Wishes,
Rudi
