We have implemented Compulsory Covers in this release. To use this feature, you need to update the Handheld app, upgrade to Idealpos 7 Build 53 or higher and enable the Prompt for Covers setting in Idealpos. The app will then display a pop-up prompt to enter the number of Covers when selecting a table and pressing the Start Order button. Refer to the Update History for more information on how to use this feature.

General fixes and the following new feature: Implement Scale Support - The Handheld app now supports the Scale option that is configured within the Stock Item in Idealpos. When adding a Scale Stock Item to an order in the Handheld app, a prompt will appear to enter the quantity. The selling price of the item will be calculated based on the quantity that is entered into the prompt. ** Please note that this release of Handheld does not include Alpha-Table codes support which was added to Idealpos 7 - Build 52. A new build of Handheld will be coming shortly that adds support for Alpha Table Codes. **

General fixes and the following new features: - Allow changing the seat number for an item after it has been added to the order It is now possible to change the seat number for a Stock Item after it has been added to the order. Select the Stock Item from the list of items added to the order, then press the seat number you want to assign the Stock Item. The Stock Item will be assigned to the new seat number - Implement Stock Item Multiplier It is now possible to enter a quantity when adding multiples of the same Stock Item. Swipe the Stock Item to the right, then press the + button. A prompt will appear to enter the quantity. Enter the quantity required and the Stock Item will be updated with the quantity entered.

Description of Idealpos

Idealpos Handheld V4 App works in conjunction with Idealpos 7 (Build 41 or higher) and requires the Restaurant Module in Idealpos. Orders can be placed on the app and sent to the Idealpos Software where products are automatically printed to kitchen printers or displayed on Ideal Kitchen Monitor. The app can be operated by the server, or, with our new customer ordering function, the customer themselves. The app is designed to work well with both iPhones and iPads, with tailored functionality specific to each platform. Other functions available on the app are table maps, product graphics, bill printing, table enquiries and viewing notes for specials of the day. Items can be entered with seat numbers and text can be added to the order. Demo mode is available for customers to use the app without networking it with the Idealpos Software. V4 contains all the existing features and functionality of the V3 app, with the addition of using a new Handheld communications protocol. The new Handheld communications protocol will increase the reliability of communications between the Handheld app and the Idealpos Software. When using Handheld V4 networked with the Idealpos Software, you need to install Idealpos V7 - Build 41 or higher. V4 has the following features that are available on an iPad: - Menu Item Layout the same as Idealpos - Landscape Only view - Item Graphics use the same filename as Idealpos (still requires the images to be copied to a URL location) - New Send Order button - Clerk name shows in top left hand corner V4 has the following features that are available on both iPhone and iPad: - Supports force selling price items - Open stock item prompts for price and description - Compulsory Clerk
