Great app needs more speech sounds.
Great App
As feedback, I would really appreciate an option to print the text from the stories so students can follow along independently. Also for mixed groups the printed text would allow different students to work on different things.
Please take this feedback into account.
Thank you for your support,
SW
Great App!
Where’s the articulation data collection?
Response from developer
To collect data on articulation sounds press the "Stopwatch" button in the lower left corner of the story text field on the home screen. This will take you to the testing screen. Have the child read the story (or retell it if they are unable to read and you are only concerned about taking data for speech sounds). Then press stop when they have completed the story. After you have recorded the story you will have the option to score the story. You can mark each word in the story as a reading error, vocabulary error, or speech error. Reading errors are marked when a child struggles with reading the word. Vocabulary errors are marked if the child doesn't know what a word means (that is discovered by asking the child if they know what some of the more difficult vocabulary in the story means). Speech errors are marked when a child says the sounds in the word incorrectly. After the errors are marked and saved they can be reviewed in flashcards from the scores screen. If you ever have additional questions you can email us: hello@littlebeespeech(dot)com.
SLP Review
Response from developer
Thank you for your review! We're happy that you are enjoying Little Stories Pro. That's a great suggestion of having the words highlighted as the story is read. It's something that we are planning to implement in a future update. Adding visuals to the sequencing is also something we are considering.
