For what you pay for one of these machines, you’d really expect more from this - frankly - abomination of an app.
First, you have to change your phone settings for it to work with the Apple Watch (display timeout has to be set to ‘Never’ - remember to switch it back or RIP to your battery life).
Second, it operates over WiFi instead of Bluetooth, which is not a huge deal, but again goes to show that you’re not getting the most seamless user experience as you should for this expensive of a product. You get annoying messages like “This network can’t reach the internet” from your phone when connected.
Third, the WiFi connection frequently drops and makes the machine uncontrollable from the phone app or the Apple Watch app.
Fourth, the watch app doesn’t stay in the foreground of your watch, so to control the machine after hitting a few balls you have to go back into your app viewer and find the Lobster app.
Lastly, the buttons on the app only increase or decrease the current settings. There is no way to know what speed you increased or decreased the machine too, only that it went up or down.
For how expensive of a machine this is, they really dropped the ball on this app. Consider competitors with better apps.
