Bad app but have to have it for bonus
App is very bad. App support even worse. App sometimes shows acceleration from 0-60kph in 1 second. I drive a 2003 Range Rover diesel, if it could accelerate like that I would give superbikes a go for their money. Also no way to manually stop the trip when it’s over, the you go home or walk into the shops and need to use your phone then the app registers the trip with phone usage and scores plummet. JUST ADD THE FUNCTIONALITY TO MANUALLY STOP THE TRIP WHEN IT’s OVER!!! The app also crashes more than the Zim dollar. Have screenshots to prove the acceleration issues.
They would also rather have you skip a red light than have to come to a stop at any modecum of decelleration beyond molasses running down a 1 degree decline.
But you have to use the piece of snot to be eligible for any bonusses or discounts. Rock and a hard place. App development team seems to be more concerned with having lunch than developing and testing a proper app.Show lessInaccurate
The main problem I have with this app it that I’m sometimes given only one star, but the breakdown of the trip show no infringements.Poor tracking
Having used the app for about 5 months, I have noticed problems with the sensitivity and limitation on validation of results. For example, if I leave my phone in my pocket, the trip almost always is scored 1 Star (with multiple harsh accelerations) so seems to be influenced by leg movements. If I drive into a parking garage, the GPS goes a bit hay wire (I have seen this through other tracking apps), and you can find yourself a block or 2 from where you are. Problem is that the app will then think you have accelerated 2 blocks in a second so no validation of what is even possible. There are also times I get 1 or 2 stars and the stats don’t show anything wrong, or perhaps 1 harsh brake. The app needs much better validation and more testing it seems.Show less
