  • Guided tour

    The guided tour is really bad, clunky and not ready for prime time

  • Wanted to book camping

    Why can’t you book camping sites for national parks with this app? Is this just purely an information app?

The app does link to the online reservation service for camping, but we understand you may have been expecting a specialized service within the app. Our goal is to provide offline, easy-to-use, on-the-go access to essential planning and travel information, such as accurate driving directions, local weather, and hours of operation. Additionally, the app offers exclusive guided tours that can be enjoyed during your visit. Thank you for helping us make the Parks Canada App better.
  • Pointless

    Just go on the website. It’s a pointless app. When you click on anything it’ll just take you to the website anyway.

The main features of our app are the self-guided tours for visiting on site, and the portability and offline access to the essential information about your destinations when on-site. Not to mention accurate driving directions and quick tips and facts. Hope this helps and that you may find these features useful when you arrive at your destination.
  • Great App…When it works

    When I can use this app, it is great. The self guided tours are wonderful. The problem is if you use the app, then attempt to use it again, all you get is a blank white screen and one word: loading. It goes on like that forever. Sometimes it takes until the next day before you can use the app again. I wish the self guided tours were available on the regular website, if this issue cannot be addressed.

The loading issue you are describing sounds like your device may have been trying to open a new section on the app. For best results we recommend opening new content for the first time while connected to a strong internet connection.   • Almost… :(

    Every attempt takes me to a “Page Not Found” Error 404. Really want this app to work… I’m rooting for it but it’s crap currently.

    Hello, we're sorry to hear that you encountered this issue while using the app. A 404 error usually indicates that the page you are trying to open requires an internet connection. In the next update, we hope to change the onscreen message to better reflect this information. Thanks for using the app and for reporting this issue.
  • Requires location sharing to see map

    I can’t get over the location requirement to browse the map. Why should you need to know exactly where I am (down to neighborhood) in order to plan my trip in another province? Why would a public agency not allow us to just get information about our parks system that we have paid for?

    Could not get past this requirement to use any desired app features. Will eagerly re-review once fixed.

    Hello Roger. The location services feature of the app is optional. Once you select "do not allow" the app to see your location, the maps will be visible but without your location pin. We hope that this helps resolve your issue.
  • Please restore “save my trip” and offline mode

    I had started using this app to save my upcoming trip to Western Canada. After the update my app data for the trip disappeared, I can’t favorite parks anymore, and I can’t save my trip offline.

    I like the content but it is a bit slow to load certain pages. It seems like this is now an app viewer for web content. My understanding is that some parks have limited cellular so having an organized trip with offline content would have been very useful. I will need to rely on ebooks and other apps now to reference my trip.

  • Pointless app

    Useless app, that redirects you to the awful website. If only parks Canada’s site was like Québec’s SEPAC site.
  • Bring back the trails map!

    I used to use this app all the time to choose trails for our family while in various parks, as it used to be super easy and I could do it quickly. Now that that feature is gone, I can’t think of any other reason why I’d need the app, if all it’s ever going to do is take me to the website. Please bring the trails map back!!

  • Map inaccurate 06/08/21

    You still need to update some of the pins on the map. Some are missing and last I checked “Beaver Pond” was not a National Park.
