Thank you very much

Good for beginner

Good for study

Great idea on the lessons and gear

It’s a great idea but nothing more because you still have to spend money on it, better off watching tutorials on YouTube.

Well done. Clear, good for field, Oz app

I am getting back into photography and this is right on. Setting look complete and lessons are goos. It looks like an Oz app which is even better..

Perfectly clear

I found the free version of this production a few weeks ago on the App Store. I have since given the purchase of the full app some thought and serious consideration. I have worked on industrial cameras many years ago and consider myself a keen amatuer enthusiast of digital photography. However I must say that although you can very much start literally from beginner level with this program, it affords advanced amatuers and even Pros some refreshing, easy accessible and attractive ‘go to’ reference points to brush up on. There are no jargonist inclusions here, just simple concise explanations which include easy ‘hands on’ exercises. On the positive basis of what I have just noted I’ve just forked out the $8 ($7.99) and loaded it up onto my phone for a companion on my next shoot. Pretty cheap to have an expert come along with you when you take your camera out with you next time eh?. Developer, fine effort.

Very limited unless you pay

The free version offers very basic lessons on aperture, focal length, shutter speed and ISO.

Great Collection of Tips

I'll admit that I didn't expect much from this app but was pleasantly surprised. More than just a copy of a book on the phone, it takes advantage of being on the platform, allowing you to adjust the aperture of a photo for example.

Additional lessons or recipes can be purchased, but unlike many apps on the iPhone you really get a taste of what you are buying beforehand.

No longer a sceptic, I recommend downloading this app.

Fantastic guide to DSLR photography

Just been getting into photography and I have an understanding of the photographic triangle enough to shoot fairly confidently in Manual mode, however this interactive guide really lets you see the effects of all the camera settings. Plus it contains “recipes” or exposure settings for certain types of photographs (portraits, animals, action, architecture, Etc.) the gear guid is handy as well if you unfamiliar with your camera, as it shows what each symbol means. Recommend this app if you want a better understanding of photography. Also recommend Bryan Peterson’s book Understanding Exposure.
