Description of SpeakLiz

SpeakLiz uses Artificial Intelligence in real time to analyze sound, understand human voices and more. It's optimized for working in 35 languages. SpeakLiz has 4 features: - Sign Language: SpeakLiz can identify sign languages and convert them to speech and text in real time, just with the phone camera (starting with a limited number of emergency signs or gestures, the variety of signs will be progressively increasing on next updates). To find more information about each sign language, please tap the Tutorial button on the upper side of the screen. - Sounds recognition: The app can hear for you, and alert about more than 300 different types of sounds around; such as emergencies, human voices, music, animals, vehicles, and many more! You can also activate the emergency sounds feature to receive push notifications in background. - Voice to Text: Convert spoken language into text. - Text to Voice: Generate a voice from text (emoticons included), compatible with Bluetooth speakers. For the best experience, we suggest to use an iPhone 8 or newer. ________________ Subscription plans SpeakLiz has subscription plans, where users can experience all features of the app, with no interruptions and support our development work. Reviews of SpeakLiz

  • I can’t believe i spent $10 on this

I love the concept, but I’m very disappointed it works terribly. Video recognition is completely wrong. Audio recognition is mostly wrong. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    Developer Response

Thanks for your feedback with each update we keep improving.
  • The idea is neat, the results are not. Speech recognition is not that good either.

I used the vocabulary that is in your sample database. I have been a professional ASL interpreter for 40 years. It only recognized one sign. Doesn’t do simple utterances. Not even a 2-3 word sentence using your vocabulary. I would expect that you could add vocabulary to the database, and that you would have your own Sign Language models not some random vocabulary from other peoples websites.

I tried ASL, LSM, and several other sign languages.

    Developer Response

Hello, thanks for your message! It helps a lot us to improve out first attempt of camera-based sign language recognition. In future updates we will increase the signs database, more complex sentences and a better tutorial.
