  • Won’t let me sign in and stay signed in after enabling 2fa

The authentication code doesn’t work unless I tap on the notification on my phone and approve it if I input it on the battle.net website or launcher is says invalid code
  • Push notifications for ads

Merging multifactor authentication into this app brings push notifications for ads if you also want it for authentication.

What a slimy, sleezy, obnoxious company - using security as the sleeper sales technique. Absolutely atrocious and people should be fired.
  • Rubbish

I’m a die hard blizzard fan and have been for more then half my life, but this app for the last year and half doesn’t work for me, I can’t log in while my authi is enabled (the irony I know), and none of the support tickets I write can fix the issue either….

So maybe someone can read this and get it fixed, yes it’s upto date, yes so is my iOS, when I try logging in it just diverts me to the website

  • Broke my Authenticator

Downloaded this app and it broke the Authenticator and now I’m locked out for good. It’s been FOUR WEEKS of trying to get access. Customer support is pants and there are no options to follow up with them as all emails are from a noreply address.
This company just can’t get the fundamentals right let alone create a good app or game.

  • STILL can’t login

Trying to login with my account and it says “too many redirects” so I can’t use the app. Restarting, reinstalling, etc won’t help. Logged a support ticket with blizzard weeks ago and it still isn’t resolved. Their old Authenticator app now send me constant notifications to use this new app but I can’t because it doesn’t work! Absolute pile of garbage. They have now stopped the “old” Authenticator app, so now I can’t use either. Absolute joke.

  • Typical Blizzard

Won’t let me log in. Sends a code to the Authenticator. Authenticator opens with a message saying I need to use battle.net. Close that message and it gives me an error, preventing me from logging in. Great job blizzard you continue to slide into continuous self destructive behaviour chasing corporate profits.

  • Authenticator Gets Stuck in Loop

The authenticator keeps getting stuck in a loop. I also found this as an existing issue reported a year ago, with others also experiencing it. This issue still exists, so a low rating because security shouldn't be handled so poorly.
  • Fix it….properly

Simply doesn’t work anymore since the integration. Always an error message, then doesn’t let you log in.
  • Clogged toilet

If you have been waiting to use the vocab word “Kafkaesque” correctly in a sentence then this app presents the perfect opportunity to do so.

Useless, bureaucratic bilge. The authenticator has saved exactly 0 people from ID fraud, and to be frank it screams of being the result of a lawsuit. Like blizzard set the whole thing up just to appease some folks and say they take ID fraud seriously.

Any slightest change in your routine, e.g. you get a new phone, or computer, and you are screwed. Seemingly permanently, because new devices won’t synch once you have been using two of the same for a while, and any attempt to fix the problem will just bring you to endless pages of automated responses and FAQs that are not relevant to your issue: “forgot password?” “Account is blocked?” “Forgot email?” No. No. No. Kafkaesque.

You will literally probably end up searching old subreddits until you find an email or number for customer service to speak to an actual person and get the answer to your (albeit very simple) issue.

Until then, you aren’t playing your games because Blizzard requires you to essentially sign in on two devices just to play on one.

  • Useless app

When signing in, it will ask you to go to the Bnet Authenticator which will fail to work. It’s like going into a vicious cycle. Absolutely pointless. Blizzard need to fix the Authenticator instead of forcing users with this pointless app.
