Right off the bat, I’ll say that this game IS very engaging. It’s kind of cute and somewhat fun and I’ve lost quite a bit of time to it. With that said, it’s also very VERY annoying. Yes, I KNOW that it’s a game, it’s a fantasy world, but the customers orders are patently ridiculous leading to inconsistent and frustrating build scores. In addition, some of the mini-games are so poorly thought out and executed that they’re not even fun to play (Hallway Hunt and Pizza Pachinko, I’m looking at you). On top of that, I hate that the controls require inconsistent precision. An alarm is going off on a light-bake pie? HA HA, too bad, you missed the cut station by a micrometer, it’s back in the oven and overcooking! Did you place that carrot stick (seriously, who would even order a carrot stick) where you wanted it? HA HA, too bad, it changed direction and is now hanging over into another quadrant. Oh, did you move the correct ticket to the wheel? HA HA, NO YOU DIDN’T! It’s still back on the cord! And why can’t you move ingredients or remove ingredients once they’re placed? That’s just DUMB. Basically, I just hate the “ha ha, gotcha” nature of how the developers think they’re being challenging. It’s just flat out annoying.
