EDIT: It would appear that the devs have made some improvements however the search system is still broken, posts do not show the year the post was made (which is confusing with the broken search system. Sure this might have been posted in September but it turns out it was posted a year ago in September!!!), and on top of that you cannot even send feedback on the app. When you tap on "Help & Feedback" a pop-up shows up and says "E-mail Can't Be Sent" okay....? And thanks for removing the feature to edit names on the app, sure helps all the trans people who are trying to hide their dead names... Absolutely useless. When you try to edit your name now it prompts you to log into your mySJSU to make any changes. That would be all and well if that actually did anything like it does on Canvas (if you add a name and list it as "preferred" on mySJSU then Canvas will change it accordingly) but surprise, it does nothing at all. At least provide a drop-down list or something from the names we have listed on mySJSU, or to make things easier just let us edit names again. I understand the attempt to prevent people from putting nonsense names but really this change is more detrimental than anything.
Surprised to see how many good reviews there are for this app when it is one of the most clunky apps I've ever used. From my understanding, the Android version is a step up from the iPhone version, which burdens a good amount of users (wouldn't you say that around half of the people who would want to use this app would be Apple users?). Only one photo per post. Character limit on comments with no character count when typing the comment. Can't see who likes comments. Search function is useless—when you search ANYTHING, it claims to show the latest posts but shows nothing but weeks to months old posts. Can't turn on notifications for posts you make/posts you commented on/likes/etc. Did I mention that when you go on someone's profile, there are two "add friends" buttons? What's the point? Shame that an app that helps connect other students to each other is rather poorly written.
