3.1 contains bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and a few new features. * Add a custom alarm prefix to assignments. * Faster Calendar, Week View, and Today View. Performance when moving through days should be faster and more responsive. * Swipe in Today view to move through the days of the week. * Photo import for contacts should result in a better thumbnail. * Widget rewritten to ensure the widget only shows as many upcoming items as can be contained in the widget size. If there are more due items than can be displayed, the widget will show an aggregate count of upcoming assignments and courses. * Design changes - Today view in the sidebar hides course weekday labels by default to reduce space required for the Today view. There is a new setting to turn these labels back on, if preferred. * Create new assignments directly in calendar view. * Holiday Setup UI is now functional and consistent with the rest of the app. Setup holidays by tapping the date(s) in the calendar. Holidays are now stored as objects in the database so they will persist after updates to the app. * NOTE: Previously set holidays won’t appear in the new holiday picker, but are still represented by the app in existing courses. Recreate the holidays or disable the new course on those dates if you need to add a new course for the current semester.

Assignments 1.16 contains many bug fixes and improvements. The biggest change is that Assignments is now free and ad-supported. For users who would like to remove advertisements, an affordable subscription is available. NOTE: For users who paid full-price when Assignments was a paid app: Email us for one to two years of ad-free support, based on the year you purchased. Users who bought Assignments in 2018 will receive two full years of ad-free support free of charge. Users who purchased prior to 2018 will receive one year of ad-free support free of charge. The change in pricing is not to penalize those who paid for the app -- this is only to ensure we can keep developing great new features for Assignments long into the future. If you bought Assignments please contact us so you can be ad-free. We want to reward our dedicated users. Other fixes and improvements: Spotlight actions and app actions now work better. Sorting actions for the inbox have been improved. Location-based geofence now only alerts you that you are in a fenced location when something relevant (such as an assignment) has been attached to that location.

Focused on fixing bugs with this release, the attachment features should work more reliably when sharing and importing from outside the app. We will next be adding the ability to attach files to projects. Lots of small bugs fixed. Please let us know if you encounter a bug, have an idea for a new feature, or just want to say hello. Fixed an issue when using the forward/back buttons on the navigation controller when viewing courses that caused a previously displayed course's attachments to appear again in the current course. Fixed an issue where course repeat frequency wasn't being reflected in the calendar view controller. Repeat frequency is now respected. Some small design changes and big back-end changes to support future features: The next update to Assignments will contain a revamped course-scheduling design, including support for one-off course meetings on the schedule. We are also working on calendar export and import, Siri, and many other features for spring and summer in preparation for a new year. NEW - 3D Touch works on the app icon (on supported devices). Now a hard press on the icon reveals the ability to quickly open the Calendar, and to quickly open upcoming courses for the current day. NEW - Course reminders are delivered each day a course is scheduled. These can be turned off in the apps' Settings view.

New Feature! Check the Sidebar for the new Calendar feature. The calendar allows you to see upcoming courses for the day, upcoming Assignments that will be due, and to schedule new Assignments. When you create an assignment in the Calendar, the start date is pre-set to the date you've selected. You can also tap a course for the day and see all the course details just as if you had tapped it in the Courses list. New Design Update! The Inbox now contains a label with the assignments' course. The row height had to be increased a bit but we believe the change is worth it for clarity. Tap the Change Sorting button in the toolbar, and tap Sort by Course. The new label makes this sorting technique far more valuable. We plan to incorporate more design cues from the color scheme of our icon in the future as well. Fixes - There were a number of bugs and fixes in this release as well: * The Assignment details' sections had a UI bug that caused the Alarm label to replicate when a due date was set. * Stop button for the web browser (used to download Course attachments from the internet) now functions correctly and if tapped twice will clear the address field (if the address field is in focus). * Reload button for the web browser now functions correctly. * Courses sidebar icon wasn't displaying the selected state properly. * Alarms can now be removed completely by swiping on the alarm row when viewing an assignment. Toggling the alarm now features a quick animation for fast visual feedback. Thank you to all new users and folks who might be giving the app a shot - if you have any feature requests, suggestions, or questions, please send us a tweet at @pinwheeldevs or support@pinwheeldevinc.com. We really love your feedback! Look forward to lots of new features and updates in the coming weeks.

Small update to fix a few bugs and improve features. Send us an email if you have any questions, feature suggestions, or just to say hello! Added an animation when an alarm is turned on or off. Navigation Item no longer displays prompt for alarm. Alarms can now be removed (rather than only turned on or off) by swiping right on the alarm row. Improved stability of geofencing.

Grades and Rules: Assignments can now be assigned a grade value. The semester can be setup with a set of Grade Rules that allow you to customize how grades are labeled based on how your school or institution assigns its' grades. The app also now allows you to add a set of (different) grade rules for each course in the app. So if your school considers an A to be in the range of 90-100%, but a course you are taking simply assigns grades based on a Pass/Fail system or considers an A to be 92-100%, the app an accommodate those distinctions on a course-by-course basis. Attachments: Coursework can now be imported from other iOS Apps via a Share Sheet, added from iCloud, or downloaded from the web. Contacts: Imported contacts can be emailed and called from within the app. iMessage support will be added soon. Fixed UI issues that were causing toolbars to appear in the wrong size. Support for iOS 11, improvements, bug fixes, and code optimizations as well. Support for the iPhone X.

Fixed a few UI issues, made some changes to how relationships can be altered in certain obscure circumstances.
