More

2.8.8

March 1, 2023

Fixes an issue with the text-to-speech in verb tables on some devices. Happy learning!

2.8.7

February 28, 2023

Some minor tweaks under the hood to fix a couple of interface issues, and a brand new quiz added too. Happy learning!

2.8.6

February 28, 2020

Grammatical info tags are now included alongside the English translation prompt in the Conjugation Quiz, giving tense, person and number hints. Now you can give those verbs a good technical drilling independent of the translation! This was based on a user suggestion, so if you have any feedback for new features, please let us know - we're always really happy to receive constructive feedback. Happy learning!

More

2.8.5

January 28, 2020

This update fixes an issue with the tap-to-listen feature in verb tables on some devices. Thanks to the user who reported it. Happy learning!

2.8.4

January 15, 2020

We've added a slider setting for the Snap Game so you can play at a slower pace, or even manic speed (a second per flip!) if you like. You'll find it in the Settings section of the app. Happy learning!

More

2.8.3

January 11, 2020

A couple of brand new features in this release. To start with, you can now adjust the timing of the multiple choice games in the app settings. Give yourself a full sixty seconds per answer to wind down the stress, or crank the speed up to just two seconds per answer. Your call! Also, we've added the learning set "10 Essential Verbs" as a play option, so you can really drill those fundamentals. Thanks to all our users for sending great feedback and suggestions. Let us know if there are more features you'd like to see in coming releases. Happy learning!

More

2.8.2

January 2, 2020

This update corrects an issue on some iOS versions where the Infinitive Quiz failed to start properly. Thanks to the user who spotted and reported that bug. We've also added a few seconds to the multichoice quiz timer while we work on a custom option for that in the settings. We like a challenge, but ten seconds was maybe a little too stingy for some of the more demanding tenses! Happy learning!

More

2.8.1

December 11, 2019

Some tweaks to the new game options screens to keep things running smoothly. Happy learning!

2.8

December 1, 2019

The pronunciation of the french verbs would be nice

    Developer Response

Hi and thanks for the review! You can hear the pronunciation of the verbs if you tap on the words in the verb tables (via the Verb Reference menu). Let us know if there's any issue.
  • Excellent Resource

This app has been incredibly useful to me, especially in writing assignments. The quick verb reference and all of the conjugations are easy to access in translation or from the infinitive form. After an update there was a bug with the verb listing, but the support team quickly resolved the issue. All around positive experience!

    Developer Response

Apologies for the ‘hiding’ verb être - it is still there, but the update seems to have shuffled all the verbs beginning with accents to the end of the list. If you scroll down to the bottom of the verb list, it should still be there. We’re working on a fix for the list order ASAP. I hope this helps to find it in the meantime. Thanks for your review - we’re happy to read that you’ve been finding the app useful otherwise! Best wishes from the Geoglot Team.
  • Great app - needs more quizzes

The app is great and it has a variety of features and types of activity. There are great quizzes on the tenses of ‘avoir’ and ‘être’ but I think once you complete those, you should be given more quizzes to complete. Right now there is a limited number.

    But otherwise a useful app!
