  • Really good, but has a long way to go.

I really like this game. It's the first AR game I've tried, and I really like it. But so far it's only just shooting zombies in a thermal camera that's really annoying to look at. I have a few suggestions tho:
    1. Day/night cycle cuz the thermal camera is really annoying to look at. Maybe it would be activated at night and in day their would just be the terrain.
    2. A campaign. It would be really cool to see a campaign in an AR game like like. I don't really know how it go, maybe like rescue people from zombies or something.
    3. More weapons and/or helis. Right now it's just 4 types of weapons and one heli, which isn't really a lot. More variety would be appreciated, like bombs, homing missles, etc.

  • Options and choices

For a zombie gunship game what a wonderfull way to get into the whole AR side of gaming. One thing I’d like to see into the progression of the game is a more wide and diverse choice of weapons And ways to kill zombies maybe even adding tower choices ?
  • Awesome but FRUSTRATINGLY HARD

When I first started playing, it was cool how the towers actually kind of helped.

After the first level, the defenses might as well be made of cardboard and paintball guns.

Also, my ultra-powerful weapon only seem to do the most damage against my OWN BASE. Even the “Legendary UBER MISSILE AGM” that I paid $15 for blows up everything EXCEPT zombies. Yes it’s powerful and sort of useful, but it will flatten all my defenses if I even fire 1 missile a little too close to the base defenses.

This game is amazing and has a lot of potential. Just don’t do like Flaregames and start ruining everything with “balancing”. Make the weapons more powerful so that it’s fun to play, and not such a chore to progress.

Also, your price increases were very disappointing. Flaregames has done the same type of crap with Zombie Gunship Survival and the players hate them for it. Reward us, don’t punish us. Give us more and we will buy more in return. Trust me.

  • Awesome Awesome game!

Very revolutionary gameplay that is so engaging. Pretty simple concept and not very difficult to grasp. This game is designed for the player to move around far and close up to the targets (like a real helicopter), so expect plenty of moving around from your current spot. Upgrades and new challenges make the gameplay fresh. Love it!

Just DON’T block the phones camera with your fingers while playing! It will screw up the AR sensory and your helicopter will spin out of control. Haha!

  • Fun game, but limited

I like the game play, but I loathe the system of crates to try and upgrade your weapons. After about two days of game play I quickly became stuck. No way to receive meaningful upgrades without shelling out lots of cash.

I HATE IN APP PURCHASES! I would so much rather pay up front for a good game than waste time on some kind of slot machinesque experience built to drain cash rather than provide entertainment.

  • Awesome game!

This is my first AR game and I love the concept. At first you start with a simple machine gun, but once you start leveling up, you get weapons like rocket servos, explosive rounds, etc. This is where AR shines since you can “zoom out” for explosive rounds and “zoom in” for low spread, accurate shooting.

As mentioned in some other reviews, if you use the camera, be in a well lit area so the phone can accurately gauge your movements. I cant wait to see what else Limbic has in-store for this game!

  • GET THIS GAME RIGHT NOW MY DUDES

This is the first fully AR game I’ve ever played on the App Store, and I gotta day it’s a whopper. Even though you might end up using the same weapons for a long time the AR makes it never feel old. I love walking around my kitchen table and blasting digital zombies like I’m in a mini helicopter or something and the zombies are trying to take over my kitchen.
One complaint I do have however is that sometimes it’s hard to get the camera to focus on a platform to put the base on. I don’t know if that’s a me issue or the game but it always takes me a few minutes of adjusting and moving around to place my base. If the camera thing was fixed, this game would be absolutely perfect.
AND THE BEST PART IS THAT IT’S FREE

Id pay to play this game... it’s just so good.
Looking forward to future content and gameplay modes!

  • Great game with some caveats

First, the game is really fun, similar to the first one, but with AR which allows you to control the ship. Highly recommend it. The only issues I’ve run across deal with the weapons. First, the 40mm (?) cannon is useless. I’ve fired all rounds into groups of zombies and not a single one falls. This really needs to get fixed as it can greatly impact your ability on the later levels.

Second, I get that the devs earn money through IAPs, but these have an unusual price structure. You can get gold crates pretty easily, so the tactical is really the first level. Even then, I’ve gotten those before. However, if you need a boost and want to get a crate, you either have to watch a ton of videos (which works, but seems to be governed now) or spend $15. I did the video route and really didn’t get much. I’m not saying give stuff away, but a more realistic price-rewards structure would be good. I did download one of the apps I watched a video on, though.

Finally, what about some higher level drops once in a while? I have level 1-4 guns, but only ever get upgrades for the level 1. Since the cash doesn’t seem to matter, I’m trying to build it up, but it would be nice to get a surprise once in awhile. Plus, it would make me think about what I spend the cash on.

Again, great game, only real issue is the cannon and the drops. Get it!

  • Sandbox

Love the game and and is very innovative about the ar mode for the iphone. Would love a sandbox mode where there is no score you don't earn money or anything but you can just fly around and shoot zombies in ar without having to worry about a base or losing or something like that. And the 40mm doesn't feel like it does anything. It probably does but the splash damage/area feels so low for the animation. Otherwise a fantastic game. Would totally recommend.

  • A Must Have!

Not many mobile games excite me (I’ve tried many) but after playing ZG: Revenant for a week on the iPhone 8+...... I became an instant fan. I’ve never been more impressed. The AR gameplay, graphics, controls and especially the haptic feedback while firing; it really makes a difference.

If you’re looking for an exciting game where you yield metric tons of fire power to prevent relentless Zombie waves from breaching your home base....... THIS GAME IS FOR YOU!

10/10 in my book, keep up the great work Limbic Software Team!
