BEWARE. ITS A SCAM!
This business is a SCAM. They have no customer service and after spending more than $250 and waiting more than a week for my video, it never came. They claim that if the video does not get completed then the hold will be removed from your card but that is a lie. They charge at the time of video request and only offer “cameo credits” as a “refund”. I still have yet to receive my video and there is zero customer service for this company so I will likely have to seek litigation to resolve the issue. BEWARE! Just look at all the complaints via the Better Business Bureau. This business is a scam that is (in my opinion) falsely advertising services. It’s a simple bait and switch really: get someone to purchase a video under false pretenses and then when the video is never completed they switch things to say that you can only receive credits for another cameo which won’t be completed anyway but they don’t care. They just want to take money and provide no way to contact their customer service department other than emails which never receive a response.

Three Video Requests and No Replies
I am disappointed! I sent a request and 2 followup messages to composer/producer, David Foster, and got no video and no response. I realize celebrities are busy but if they are going to commit to this application, they should follow through or inform us on Day 1 if they aren’t available. I was counting on this gift for my husband but I am hesitant to place another order until this current balance is settled. Now, it doesn’t appear that I will get my money back because I’m told my payment will be credit to my Cameo account. That would be ok, IF I could find a celebrity who is going to actually respond to my video request. This is Day 6 as I wait for Angie Harmon to respond. She has seen my note but no personal acknowledgment. I don’t know whether I’m being charged again or if this applies to my credit. This video is supposed to be for my husband’s birthday, and I am afraid I’ve just thrown away all this money and will get nothing in return. To make matters worse, I ordered a video for myself, and that artist hasn’t even seen the request. I am not impressed with this app at all!

Avoid this app and service
Terms of service provide for a credit or refund if the artist does not fulfill your video request. In my case I paid extra for 24 hour delivery and the artist could not meet the request so I asked for refund per terms of service. Cameo is refusing to refund. I paid with Apple Pay so there is limited recourse. Company does not follow terms of service so I will consider legal action next. Avoid. Update: customer service did respond promptly and promised to send a refund by check. Will update again if check is received. Update: I did receive a refund check in the mail pretty quickly. Updating to 3 stars because the concept is great but company needs better disclosure and procedures for refunds. They should not accept Apple Pay if unable to easily refund. Also need better disclosure that a “booking” means “‘maybe the artist will fulfill request if they have time.”
