Reviews of War in Europe

  • Great game but should be improved

I have been playing this game for a few months now and it’s so fun, especially with a friend. Some bugs/ improvements could be when you create your own custom battles it seems only 2 countries can be on a team. You should also add troops being able travel though friendly land. Lastly their should be a max amount of people that can be recruited and better technology research should be available.
  • Needs work.

This game is very fun and has potential, but there are two things in particular that drive me crazy. 1. Allied troops can’t move in an Allie’s land. I wish this was like your French-Indian war game in the way that you can move your troops through the land of an ally. I see no reason why that can’t exist here. 2. Let’s take Warsaw for example. In the WW1 scenario if Austria and Germany attacked Warsaw in the same season, whichever one took it first would get attacked by the other. If Germany took it then the Austrian army attacks them rather than automatically canceling the attack, and it is extremely annoying. If these are both fixed, I will up my rating to a 5 star because I do really like this game.

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for your review. Sorry, that’s the way it has been designed. You can be unlucky and get attacked after conquering a land but every nation has the same risks.
  • Great game overall needs a little work

Overall I truly enjoy the game, however there a few things that really frustrate me. To star why is it that when my capital gets taken over by a country I lose the ability to purchase troops? Shouldn’t my capital just move somewhere else? Why can I not move troops through countries I’m in an alliance with? Lastly, why is it that I have to play cat and mouse with a country when I defeat them but they have troops go to an adjacent territory of mine that is lacking in defense?
Those little things do bug me, other than that I do enjoy the game.
I hope those little things get fixed.

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for your review. You have a point about the capitals. I guess when making it I want a quick defeat and quicker game. Mind you Russia in WW2 still keeps producing men even after losing his capital. In my following games your capital moves. Thanks
