Awesome

I like the game but I hate when you have to open the bronze chest with you five gold bars i wish it was for some thing more affordable like 50 coins or something like that but other than that my teacher lets me play this in math as a math game ! Amazing I know right so my fellow players this is now known as a math game.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!

Rigged and Requires Money to win higher levels

I’m about to delete the game too.

Have been playing for ages now and love it. Find it totally addictive. However, once you start to play games costing $60,000 and more, you’ll be playing against people with more trophies and better gear.

I have 1100 trophies and last week, ended up against someone with 1800, and 1900 trophies on a $60,000 game. And when I finally grinded the lower games to earn the money to play a 200,000 game, I was against someone with over 2400 trophies, more than twice my number. And lost dismally. How is that fair play?

I have opened Stage 8 but never played it because it costs 600,000 coins to even play! And I’ve never had that many coins.

It’s ridiculous!

There are so many good ideas in this game but I am not going to pay real money just to be able to win.

UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO SPEND LOADS OF REAL MONEY, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.

Only giving it one star because I have to. If I could rate it -10 stars, I would.

No skill required, just random luck

The game is based on luck, so if you’re looking for a game of skill, look elsewhere. The game play is interesting in that it has good graphics and various courses, which also have varying challenges. Collecting more gems can be the difference between winning or losing, not sinking the ball. The first player can take all the gems, leaving nothing, so player 2 can’t even draw. Hit a bad run like this and all your cash is gone.
The crates take too long to unlock and invariably the rewards are of no use. The most frustrating part is losing all your cash through losing a game on on gems collected or the opponent having better gear than you. When you have a higher rating (around 900) it’s almost impossible to get back a level of cash to help you gear up.
2 stars for initial game play. Gets old very quickly.

Great game, disappointing flaws

The game is so addictive, and the holes offer several ways in which to get to the green. It’s unfortunate that the only way to get tickets is to purchase them, but that’s a minor flaw as you can still upgrade items relatively quickly. My biggest issue comes with match play and issues with how opponents are chosen. Many of my quests lately have been to win matches on the highest unlocked stage, which can be difficult to get to at all on some days. Frustratingly, the last few times I’ve earned enough coins to challenge someone on level six, they’ve been level 8 or 9 players with triple or quadruple the amount of trophies I have. Sure, everyone has a chance, especially if they go out of bounds, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened to me. Rather, these players have far superior equipment which makes it so one would have to make all perfect shots to even come close to them. The system for selecting opponents must be fixed, or lesser players should have the option to see who they’re facing before being forced to lose coins playing against someone 3-4 times higher than them.

Game flaws

Good game, but still has its flaws. The player that goes first has the advantage. Basically, hit the ball down the fairway and wait. Now, when the second player hits the ball wait to see where it stops or lands. Now aim your next shot at their ball, you will hit their ball sending them either backwards away from the hole or out of bounds. This contact additionally gives you extra boost in the opposite direction from the impact primarily getting you closer to the hole and forcing your opponent to take an extra unnecessary shot to move forward. This also applies to when you are the green. If you are behind in gems but tied in strokes, just knock the other player off the green or get in the path of their shot to the hole. They will either knock you closer or in the hole which gives you the stroke advantage to win even with less gems. Also, going out of bounds does not have a stroke penalty so if you go out of bounds do not worry just use all of the previous flaws to help you to win. That is until or if they fix the flaw of contacting the opponents ball.

Fun, but.....

Very fun and addictive game, but I can’t help but think that there’s an algorithm that kind of keeps the player in a one step forward and two steps back sort of configuration when playing other gamers. Controls are good, upgrades keep you interested, and animations are fun. But very often I feel like I’m not matched correctly to another player. Either I Way outclass then, or they vice versa.

Another HUGE problem is certain players will either purchase (real cash) or some how win clubs that allow them to bounce a ball, which significantly shortens their round by allowing them to short cut. Those who do not have the same club and are unfortunate enough to be unfairly paired up with these players stand NO CHANCE at moving along in the game in a reasonable and rewarding way for a player experience.

Addicting game... yes... until you discover the seriously overlooked developer flaws. Then you simply ignore the game since you can’t ever really win or advance.

Not a fun and exciting app to play

It’s ok to play up to level 4 but when playing level 5 and higher you’re playing against stronger players who have all the equipment, should be playing against people with same number of trophies and equipment, also you should be ask if you want to play that level because you can accidentally play a higher unlock level and lose all your money, sometimes when you win 4 times in a row you can know definitely that you’ll lose couple of games in your next round, I don’t know if it’s rigged but that’s how I see it. I just think it should be fair playing app to make it fun.

Fun...for a while

This is the first app I’ve reviewed and am only doing so as it’s taken up so much of my time and is just so frustrating!! Ok so to be fair, the gameplay in this is actually very good and really addictive. My daughter even likes to play the lower levels and enjoys it.....but it really is only fun for the first few levels. Unfortunately once you get to level 7 or 8, it becomes really hard to make any progress unless you spend a load of cash...and I mean hundreds. I spent a little as I got suckered in, but turns out the equipment you get is totally random anyway and not worth the cost. You are matched against players way higher level than you and if you are lucky you occasionally get what seem like bots, hitting random shots way to quickly and in the wrong direction. As you progress you can no longer increase your level without playing matches at the hardest levels and these cost loads of coin to play each one hole match. Lvl 1 is 200 coins to play 1 match...lvl 9 is 1,800,000 coins! To buy the equivalent coins for one lvl 9 match via their store costs £99 !! Granted, if you win you double your coins but when you are constantly matched against high level (real or otherwise) players...you are constantly low on coins and pushed to make purchases. Drives you mad! Anyway, prob way too much detail there, but play at your own risk. Shame really, as it could be amazing if the developers weren’t so desperate to take our cash at every single opportunity.

Needs a Single Player Mode

It’s a fun game, but it desperately needs a single player mode. Playing against someone makes the game take way too long and drawn out.

Besides this the main screen is very cluttered with way too much going on and all sorts of adverts for the in game store. It’s fine to have all this, but the screen needs to be cleaned up so that it’s more organized and user friendly.

Upon playing it more I got to the point where I had nearly 500k coins and was on a great winning streak but then suddenly I lost over and over for absolutely bs reasons. I’d be on the green just bought to win but then the other player would come in with some impossible shot and get in the hole. I really do enjoy the game, but I gotta call shenanigans on this one; I’ve noticed several other people having the same problem around this point. I’ve also noticed that the game makes no effort to pair you against other players with the same rank or trophy count not to mention some of the opposing players feel a bit too “lucky” to be genuine. I don’t want to say the game is rigged because I do actually enjoy it, but it’s just too many coincidences at too convenient of a time for spending money on the game for it to just be “dumb luck”.

Addicting

Game is very addicting each level cost more and more coins so you must buy them or hope to win enough. When I offered I bought the initial starter pack for $1.99 which gave me enough coins and gold bars for what I wanted to do. Most quest require you to be on level three or higher self there’s a class not going on I just go back to level one or two and just practice. One thing I do not like but it’s not the games fault wish there was a way to report someone for on sportsman like conduct. Granted it’s miniature golf it’s just a game but there are some players who take it to literally can’t play it like croquet they’ll purposely hit your ball out of the way so they can win the game. To me that’s un-sportsman as most people if you’re shooting to the left side of the screen the other person sitting to the right side of the screen unless there’s a reason for shooting the same side like wind direction. Anyways, I won’t spend anymore money on the game and just happy playing basically the first four levels though I have levels five and six open I have only played them three times and one time respectively. I may get my wife to join to play as you can challenge friends you just don’t get the rewards count toward your tournaments, rewards, etc.
