  • Some of the OH algs are in the wrong places

I’ve found that a few OH algs are in the wrong places, for example the h perm alg is in the ga perm spot and the Ua and the Ub perm are in the E and Y perm respectfully. Otherwise great app.

Thanks for the feedback! This is fixed in the next update.
  • Great app

The app is great but some of the algs are inaccurate like in the 4lll

Thanks for the feedback! This will be fixed in the next update.
  • A lot of algorithms are inaccurate

I like the app it has all of the things you would need it helps you learn algs, time solves and store your pbs and a more but the big problem is I tend to find more algs that don’t work that do work and I don’t know if this is because they are mismatched or just incorrect but it is a little annoying when trying to learn them

Glad to hear that! I will look into those algs soon. Edit: Right, I’ll check the CMLL algs out, thank you. -Developer of The Cube App Pro
  • Pretty good

Its realy good but i dont like how you have to go thrue every alg just to get to the one you want

    Developer Response

You can mark the ones you already know, and then those will not be showed to you!
  • small flaw

it’s great, the only real flaw is that when u change an alg then u use learn it uses the alg that came with the app, instead of the one you put in

Thanks for the feedback. This is fixed in the next update!
  • Excellent

This is a well-designed app. Best I’ve found for cubing on iOS. The one issue I’ve had is that I seem to get a lot of easy scrambles. It would be nice if I could increase the number of moves in the scramble. With that said, I can always do my own scramble and time it with this app.

This has now been fixed! Thanks for the feedback
  • Great app but a small suggestion

The Cube App is a wonderful app and is so convenient and useful and definitely worth the few bucks for the pro version. I really enjoy this app but I was wondering if it’s possible to make separate time lists when I switch to a different puzzle? ie(3x3 time list, 2x2 time list.. bld time list etc.) instead of all times going to one list? If this change is implemented it would double the apps usefulness and convenience!

    Developer Response

Of course! Just create a new session and select the scramble type
  • Keeps crashing

When I press learn it crashes

Next update will have a solution for that in the settings menu. Best regards Developer of The Cube App
  • Some errors and lack of some potential features

For the most part this app is awesome. However many of the algorithms in at least WV and maybe elsewhere are either mismatched with the case or just the wrong algorithm altogether, like an OLL algorithm, and sometimes it doesn’t even do anything useful - maybe incorrectly entered. I encountered this in more than half of the WV algorithms. Also, far better algorithms exist for some cases, and I’ve seen this in other cases than WV. The H Perm is not only incomplete, missing one iteration of M2 U, it’s also longer and worse than M2 U’ M2 U2 M2 U’ M2. It’s potentially the most well known and indisputable algorithm other than algs like the T, J, and A perms. I’m glad you can edit the algs, but it’s a ton of work to check a site like Algdb and copy it down onto the edit pop-up. I suggest a complete deep cleanse thing of the whole thing, replacing the algs with the top ones from algdb or cyotheking or some other reputable alg site. Also, the Set to Default button does absolutely nothing.

As far as the timer goes, it would be incredible if...
    a) In settings you could change the font used for scrambles and the time
    b) The list of solves would detect your best single and averages of 3, 5, and 12 and update them to your personal best page if they are better than what is already listed there, and revert or adjust if that data is changed, such as a deleted solve. Oh, and show them on the timer page as well along with the best solve time, etc at the bottom of the page.
    c) The list of solves would have a setting to rank the solves, from one to however many solves have been done. For additional points, color code the solves on the regular (by recency) list from green to red, best to worst solves.

If these changes were implemented, this app would instantly become the best one on the market.

Thank you so much! If you see this, please implement these changes as soon as possible, for the sakes of all of this app’s users.

Edit: Thank you for the response! I really appreciate it. As soon as the algs are more “stable” I will rerate 5 stars. I forgot to mention some things in the first part of the review; I really love the “Learn” function and how this app actually contains algorithms - which, other than the previously stated WV problems, are mostly very good. An additional note: some of the algorithms I changed yesterday seem to have reverted. Is this something about the weird “set to default” button where just changing the algorithms is temporary? Thank you again for responding. Many app developers ignore reviews, which can be frustrating. Good luck continuing to update the app!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I will consider all of these things while continuing updating the app. The things that doesn’t seem to work I will try to figure out why, there seems to always be someone who has problems while it works for others. I’ll se what I can do. I’ll also check the algorithms and see if I can find anything bad. The features you suggested are good ideas, so if I can, I would implement them. Best regards The developer of The Cube App Pro Edit: I will look at the algorithms today. Especially the WV ones. Most of the things you noted in the first review are implemented in the next update. I found some problems with algorithm data being changed and in the next update that will be fixed too. While testing, I have not encountered any problems what so ever with crashing or problems with custom algorithms. So hopefully everything is bug-free. Update will soon be out. Thank you once again for your feedback and your kindness. Best regards The developer of The Cube App Pro
  • Love it

This is an amazing app. It has everything a cuber would need in a user-friendly interface. The developer also is helpful answering questions. I would recommend this app to anyone that is a cuber.👌
