Total scam
This thing doesn’t even track the ball. Do not install!
Glitchy app
I think it is a waste of time and doesn’t work I spend 3 hours in the park.Glitchy does not work do not get total waste of time
Not consistent
Worked nice with free app once purchased all over the place. Used for golf.
Frustrating!
I have tried to get this to work for two sessions now and nothing registers. Very frustrating.
Accurate w/ proper setup, Loads of Fun!
Downloaded this app for my 14-yr. old son to add some fun to his daily BP work off of the tee. I purchased an adjustable tripod phone mount from Amazon (already had a good solid tripod for photography). We set it up, measured the distances and started hitting. We found the app to be fairly accurate right from the start. (Realize that a pitched ball will bounce off the bat with a higher velocity than hitting a still ball off of a tee). The app would occasionally fail to capture a hit and/or double up on hits, especially when the ball bounces back out of the net. But overall this is a cool visualization that works most of the time, gives good feedback on exit velocity and launch angle, and is loads of fun, especially during this time of COVID-19 social distancing and no baseball. Enjoy!

Horrible accuracy
Used a tripod and measured the distances several times. I have a iPhone 8 Plus all updated packs. Exit velocity was 10-37 mph off of the pocket radar. Tried everything could not get accurate ratings. Said my 15 year old was hitting 85-118 mph exit velocity!
Lots user-effort to turn this toy into a tool
Like many others, I struggled with inconsistent captures and inaccuracy on the swings that actually were captured. However, I was determined to make use of this for the private lessons I offer to friends and family so I made the following tweaks. 1) I hung a black tarp along the back wall making it easier for the device the differentiate the ball from the background. 2) I bought cheap portable LED flood lights and experimented with different lighting arrangements to increase my capture rate. It can’t be too dark or too bright. 3) My hitters have to wear black or darker colored outfits, especially shorts so the app can differentiate between the ball and clothing. With these changes my capture rate went up to about 85% and at least 75% accuracy.
One feature that could be added is the ability to edit inaccurate captures after the fact. Inaccurate readings are usually a result of one of two mistakes, misreading the starting/ending location of the ball and incorrectly reading which frame of the video footage the hitter initiates contact. The ability to edit inaccurate reads after the fact by telling the application where the ball starting/ending points are and/or select the frame of impact and final frame where the ball is visible would allow me to correct any inaccurate readings after the fact.
I know this isn’t going to be able to recreate some of the 20k-30k radar systems, but the changes I recommend would make this app a more reliable data tool. I would gladly pay a small price for access to after-the-fact editing features, while leaving the existing app functionality as free.

Works Amazing with Two Additions
My daughter and I spent a frustrating hour playing with this app in my garage during her last BP session. Inconsistent exit velo and only a 10% capture rate.
The app works precisely as advertised, however you must eliminate camera all vibration and help your phone camera identify the ball though-out flight. Follow in app setup process and use
A) a tripod
B) a clean backdrop with good contrast to the ball
Without this the app is complete trash. Only 4 stars because I do wish that the app integrated the BlastMotion sensor data.

Not very Accurate
First off I love the concept and thought it would be an amazing tool and it kind of is. In terms of exit velocity it is horrendous with exit speeds over 75. I have tried it at varied distances trying to be as precise as possible. Tried it during live bp, front toss, and tee work. I must be coaching the most baseball gifted hitters in the world. Most reading are upper 90s and into the 100s. I don’t think my guys are that gifted. Compared to my radar gun the readings are juiced to say the least.
In terms of launch angle that is very precise and it has been a good tool to use so far. But for our program we are looking to train intent and exit velocity is a big staple to track our training and development.
Again great concept hopefully we can see improvements and consistency to the exit velocity readings.

Blast Vision
Absolutely love the Blast Motion Sensor and App.
I tried the Blast Vision and after 1 hr of complete failure my daughter and I gave up.
We could not get the camera to track the ball.
Let me know if there’s a hack for it. Great tool to use in the winter and early spring.
