2.9.3

Hello. Development is progressing with early rising and AI. This time, it's an improvement in camera input. @Added timer function to camera shooting Previously, the text conversion from camera shooting was updated, making it possible to continuously shoot and save. This is convenient, so when I was using it myself with paper books, I noticed something. When taking pictures of double-page spreads, I wanted an automatic shooting timer at regular intervals. It's like the one in camera apps where you take 10 pictures every 3 seconds, snapping various poses. The one girls use. By applying this, having an automatic shooting timer allowed me to focus on opening the pages when photographing paper books. To improve usability, I also added a stop button midway. I visually displayed the countdown numbers. You can set the countdown seconds and the number of shots. I've focused on usability, so I'd love for you to try it out. If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello! I've successfully continued waking up early for two months! Now, this time, it's a low-key but nice update. @Major improvements to text capture with the camera @You can now save document files to Google Drive First, with text saving from camera shots, you can now take multiple shots and save them in sequence. Additionally, I’ve made it so that text extraction happens in the background while you’re still shooting, so there’s almost no wait time! This makes it easier to snap a few pages from a physical book, and while doing some chores at home, have the text read aloud to you, making multitasking more fun and efficient. To be honest, I hadn’t used the text extraction feature from the camera much before, but as I started using it myself, I realized a few areas that could be improved. Also, there was an error when trying to save document files to Google Drive, but I’ve fixed it, so now you can upload files properly. You can now save image PDFs, text PDFs, and document files, making it much more convenient than before. I've also squashed some small bugs here and there. I tend to discover areas for improvement through small user requests, so if you have any feedback, feel free to message me. If you're enjoying the app, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the App Store. Talk to you soon!

Hello. I'm in a bit of a pinch with waking up early. Now, this is quite a big update. @ Text extraction from photo PDFs is now possible @ Fixed camera text conversion @ Fixed web article import from sharing First, we've made it possible to extract text from photo PDFs, which wasn't possible before. This works when importing from Google Drive, Dropbox, or iOS Files. We've supported PDFs before, but only for text-based PDFs. Most PDFs aren't text-based, so I think most PDF files you imported were probably saved as empty text. I'd appreciate your feedback on PDF saving and usability so I can make improvements. Also, I fixed the text conversion from camera captures, which stopped working in the last update. Thanks to those who reported this issue! Additionally, in the previous update, importing from shared web articles now properly captures the entire text, so please try using that as well. If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello. I've been waking up early for two months now. Now, it's time for a major bug fix. @Web page import bug fix Voicepaper has long had a feature that allows you to import and save only the text portion from web articles displayed in the browser. However, this feature had a bug where it wasn't properly importing the full text, possibly due to an iOS update. I was also troubled by this, so I was able to fix it properly. When you open a blog or news page and tap the Voicepaper icon from the share button, it automatically saves the text. This is very convenient for people who read web news or blogs, so please give it a try. I've also made other minor improvements and bug fixes. If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello. I've managed to wake up early for a month straight. Now, let's talk about some minor improvements and new features. @Voice file creation on Google Cloud @Monthly high-quality voice creation enabled @Changed program for automatic language recognition from text @Character count display when creating high-quality voice @Bug fixes in the paid version screen First, regarding the high-quality voice file creation feature currently being tested, we've now added support for Google Cloud Voice in addition to ChatGPT. Personally, I think this voice might sound more natural than ChatGPT. Especially for English, it's indistinguishable from a human, so I recommend it for language learners. We're testing this feature with limited access for paid users, but we've relaxed the restrictions a bit to allow 10 uses per month. Since this feature costs money each time it's used, I'm considering creating a new charging plan to make it more accessible if there's demand. It depends on user requests, so I'd be happy to receive any messages about this. Also, we've changed the programming for automatically detecting the language from the text, which should be an improvement. Please let me know if you notice any bugs. Other minor improvements and bug fixes have been made as well. If you like the app, I'd be grateful if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello. This time, I think I can keep getting up early. Now, here are some minor improvements and fixes: @Improved playlist repeat @Fixed text screen lock bug @New screen for paid version @Improved updates for paid version First, we improved the behavior of playlist repeat. When repeating the entire playlist, it now starts from the beginning when playing the next article. This was pointed out in a request, and I thought it made more sense, so I made the change. We've also fixed a bug with the auto-lock setting on the text screen. Additionally, we've completely revamped the paid version's screen. On top of that, we've improved the update process for the paid version. I think the automatic update part has become more stable! If you like the app, I'd be happy if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello. Recently, I've been stretching before development. This time, we've included minor bug fixes and a beta version of the ChatGPT audio file creation feature. @ChatGPT audio file creation (Beta version) @Fix for crash when connecting with Pocket @Fix for crash during audio playback @Fix for crash with Google Drive First of all, as a highlight, we have included the ChatGPT audio file creation feature in the premium version. This is currently in beta testing, and if there is a lot of demand, we may officially include it in the paid plan. The ChatGPT audio is of very high quality, almost indistinguishable from human speech in English. However, for other languages such as Japanese, there is a noticeable accent and some issues with kanji readings. It may be good for language learning. Currently, we are using Apple's text-to-speech engine, so the audio files cannot be used for commercial purposes. However, audio created with ChatGPT can be used commercially, which is a significant benefit. We have included this ChatGPT audio creation feature as a test version, so premium users can try it out and give us feedback and suggestions. Free users can also try it out using the premium trial period. Additionally, we have fixed minor bugs that caused crashes when connecting with Pocket, during audio playback, and with Google Drive. These bug fixes should make the app much more stable. If you enjoy the app, we would appreciate it if you could leave a review on the App Store. See you next time!

Hello. I've been productive with early morning development. This time, there are various improvement updates. - Improved behavior of the text editing screen - Fixed a bug where the text is saved to the bottom of the list - GoogleDrive is now available without restrictions - Added a button to change the display language setting in the settings - Fixed the issue where dragging the text screen caused it to shift position - Other minor improvements First, I fixed the problem where the screen position and font size did not match when switching from the text screen to the editing screen. Also, I fixed the bug where the setting to save text to the bottom of the list would turn on every time you restarted. Moreover, GoogleDrive has passed the review, and I believe it can now be used without restrictions on the number of users. Additionally, I fixed the behavior where the screen position would automatically scroll when dragging the text screen, which should subtly improve operability. Besides, I have made the settings display more understandable, improved minor messages, and made other subtle improvements. This app is developed based on user feedback, and we always learn from perspectives we hadn't noticed. Your support is much appreciated. If you like the app, please leave a review on the AppStore. See you next time!

Hello. I've been getting up early recently to work on development. This time, it's a series of minor improvements: - Improved pause functionality at specific characters - Elimination of ads - Audio settings for Hebrew and Vietnamese Firstly, the recent update enabled the ability to pause at specific characters, which was originally settable in seconds only. Now, it has been made possible to set this in 0.1-second increments. This was in response to requests for easier listening by adjusting the timing at punctuation marks. Thank you for the great feedback. Also, I've decided to eliminate ads in the free version. Along with this, I've added features like a countdown to the next free playback, but I'll adjust these as needed based on how things go. Moreover, Voicepaper can read aloud in all languages on iPhone, but the setting for standard voice speed is done through Voicepaper's audio settings. Now, we have added support for Hebrew and Vietnamese. If there's any other language you'd like us to support, please let us know. If you like the app, I would appreciate a review on the AppStore. See you next time!

Hello. I've reset my daily rhythm. This time we have broad multilingual support. We now support languages such as Dutch, Polish, Hebrew, Thai, Vietnamese, Hindi, Indonesian and more. Last time, we added support for 12 languages at once, but with this update, the app now supports about 20 languages. Honestly, this is the first time in my life that I've supported this many languages. I hope that people all over the world will find it useful for exam study or reading. In addition, I've been making other minor improvements here and there. I would be very happy if you could review the app on the App Store if you like it. See you next time!

  • Great app and responsive developer

I’ve used it for a decade at this point and it’s a fantastic app well worth the subscription. My only advice is that you do not update your phone for a bit after each update because apple seems to break this app every time they do. Dev always fixes that pretty fast, like 2-5 days fix. Love this thing. Get it. I find that Eva [advanced] works best for me.

    Developer Response

Thank you for using it for so long. I use the app daily myself, so it's really gratifying to hear feedback like this.
  • New version broken :(

The every-5-minutes popup (aggressive and annoying) to either pay or continue with ads is followed by another popup that says it can’t connect to the network to play the ad. My internet is fine! The app is thus completely broken and useless.

    Developer Response

The bug related to the pop-ups that appear regularly in the free version has been fixed in the latest release. Could you please try it out?
  • Indispensable!

Voicepaper is a critical part of my daily workflow. I try to keep up on all the news and blogs I can so that I can share what’s most valuable with my community, but I don’t want to spend my time reading a screen. Voicepaper reads to me while I’m driving or showering. The integration with Pocket is smooth, the interface is decent, and the text-to-speech is highly accurate.

I also save blog and news articles to Pocket and use them with Voicepaper while I'm weight training, running, or walking. Evernote's Web Clipper is also handy for web articles that require login, so you might want to give it a try.
