1.1.1

March 7, 2018

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. In 1.1.1 we added some things: - Inter-app Audio enabled! we fixed some things as well: - Fixed a bug that cause the app to crash on certain devices when using the Motion Control interactive tutorial (only available for iPhone). - Fixed a button not drawing correctly in iPhone X. - Fixed a bug that was stopping Ableton Link from working properly, and sometimes the 'Send over WiFi" would stop working too. Thank you for your quick feedback that allows us to find these things that never happen in our office. Keep the feedback coming In 1.1.0 we introduced: ============== MOTION CONTROL ============== With motion control, you can use your iPhone to trigger the snapshots of your session. There are four distinct gestures, identified using the latest in machine learning technology, which enable you to jump seamlessly between snapshots with your movements. Just perform the gestures to hear the results! Check out the in-app tutorial to get started (iPhone only). You can also use the gestures done using your iPhone, to control a remote instance of SNAP running on an iPad that is connected to the same wireless network for an interactive, multi-device musical performance. This is the first step towards a whole new dimension of control for your drums. More new stuff: As requested, we added a MIDI note selector (in the settings page) so you can control which notes SNAP uses in its MIDI output. We also added some new factory sessions to inspire you, and we bashed a few bugs here and there.

Reviews of SNAP

  • Audio issues

App worked great for 2 days, then started getting crackling distortion from the speaker. I tested other music programs and music to see if it was an issue with my phone’s speaker and it isn’t. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app twice and restarting my phone, but still the same issue. It’s truly a shame. This was a great, straight forward sequencer to work on drum pattern ideas when I’m not near my studio. I hope this gets fixed. If so, I definitely want to pay for the saving and midi features.
  • OK, but needs work

Not bad, and the developers are working to improve it, but to me the biggest omission (unless I’m not seeing it) is a mixer.
  • No Bluetooth. No Ableton. No WiFi midi

Literally everything I bought this app for is just mysteriously broken. What a waste of money. I even paid to enable midi — what a scam.

    Developer Response

This is fixed in version 1.1.1. Sorry for the inconvenience
