  • Pay Again?

I have already written a review for this app expressing my disappointment that I was bombarded by adverts while using it but it seems the developer chose not to publish it.
I downloaded it onto an older (but ok) iPad from my purchases and found that the instruments were locked. When I tried to unlock them I was asked if I wanted to buy them (again).
    No way.
    Update after reply from developer ;
All credit to developer for speedy response to my review and the advice given to unlock all instruments worked so I withdraw that negative criticism.
I play guitar, mandolin and uke and explored the app in more detail and am suitably impressed with the overall quality. Therefore I have increased my previous rating to 4 stars. I maintain that including adverts in the app is a poor decision by the developer to increase revenue and it still may mean I lose interest in due course. After all if I took piano lessons I wouldn’t expect the teacher to tell me about bargains in the local market. I didn’t pay for adverts.

Hello Wycke7. We do not choose which reviews are published on the app store. Also, after reading your review, we immediately increased the time between advertisements by 15 seconds and plan to increase the time even more with the next release so you see even less. We listen to feedback. Furthermore, you should not have to buy the instruments again as long as you are using the same Apple account. If you re-purchase the same instrument while logged into the same account, it should deliver it for free, at no charge. You can also try the "Restore In-App-Purchases" button at the bottom of the Help menu. Click the question mark (?) button on the main menu, and scroll down to the bottom of the list. You can find the button there. Please consider trying this again and re-visiting this review and thank you for trying our application. Also, please e-mail us if you have a problem unlocking the instrument for free after purchasing it and we can help you. Update: You should not be seeing advertisements after buying any of the instruments. If you are, please let us know, because this is a bug that we have not seen yet and we need to fix that as soon as possible.
  • Great support from developer.

Was updated within days to suggestion of being able to pay music.

App is brilliant and already has boosted my fretboard memory.

Thank you for the feedback! Just released Version 2.2 after your feedback and it fixed the music problem. You should be able to listen to Spotify or other music apps without them being interrupted. You can also use the "Mute" button on the main menu to mute all the in-game sound. It is the button with the speaker on it. Enjoy!
  • Staff Broken

Update: as of version 2.1 the bugs I mention below seem to be fixed as per dev’s comments. I’ve upped my score based on this but will revisit once I’ve had a chance to play more!

The game types based around the staff are broken and don’t work at all (iPhone 6S)

Treble Clef seems to have “B” on the bottom line, “G” on the top line, and doesn’t use the lines that SHOULD be G, C or E *at all*

Shame - as I have other fret trainer games (which I don’t really need) and it was only the sight-reading aspect which made this potentially interesting to me.

Hey Steve, this has all been fixed in version 2.1. We are sorry that you ran into this bug. Please give it another try!
  • Exercise answers are wrong

Nice interface but all of the answers to the exercises are wrong, so the app is essentially useless.

Update: Moshy92, I believe we fixed the Staff bugs in version 2.1, and we fixed the Staff and Fretboard bugs in version 2.6. Please consider giving it another shot!
