  • Can’t use while locked

You have to keep your phone on and unlocked for the timer to keep going otherwise it just pauses. Not great if you’re trying to save your battery/screen time. If you could just change that, I’d re-download it.
UPDATE: developer says that no app can do this, but the other timer I’ve downloaded does it just fine. I’m sure there’s probably a legitimate thing that’s making it difficult to implement that but I will continue using my other timer since it does the job.

That’s because of iOS limitations. No app from the App Store can run a timer when the device is locked. The system doesn’t allow 3rd party apps to run in the background to conserve battery.  UPDATE: We realized that above answer might be a bit oversimplified. Here are more details. According to the official Apple Developer Documentation iOS app can „run tasks requiring minutes to complete while your app is in the background”. The background means when the device is locked or another app is onscreen. The exact time limit is not specified. When the time limit expires the app is stopped by the system. This would make our app unreliable, so we decided on another approach. When the app enters background mode, the timer is actively paused. Consider an incoming call. You pick up, the timer pauses. You hang up and pick up your training right where you left off. In our tests the other app that tries to run in the background plays sounds right into your ear during a call. Other apps reset the timer when the app enters background mode. This is not the experience we’re aiming to provide to our users. And the right answer should be: No app from the App Store can run a timer *reliably* when the device is locked.
  • Waste of Money

Absolutely pointless Gives you no where to add exercises. Very misleading
Don’t waste your time or money
Use the timer in your phone it’s the same thing but free.

Hi Mack. In circuit training you add exercises by increasing the number of time intervals. In the app you can do that by tapping "Sets +" button on the settings screen. This is a core functionality of the app and is available for free. It is not possible to achieve this type of multiple interval countdown using built-in iOS timer app. If anything’s still unclear you can contact us via links in the Support and Feedback section on the app’s settings screen.
  • Simple and effective

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, something simple to set an interval and rest time for my martial arts circuit training. No fluff, just what is needed.
  • The App name says it all

This basic timer is perfect for my stretch/ release exercises. No silly gimmicks. It works.
  • Great App

Real great app just what I needed for my fitness workouts. 2 small suggestions to make it better.
    1. Having option to do 2 or 3 sets before the rest period
    2. Selectable sounds such as bells like boxing etc
Apart from that can't fault it would recommend
