  • Keeps freezing

Frustrating that I have to keep force closing the app because it keeps freezing. if I knew it was going to do this then I would not have purchased the full version.
  • Terrible

Audio keeps repeating every time you visit the same area and the lag to enter areas is slow!
  • Green strip

Huge green strip on the bottom for iPad. Not cool. Better than squeezing a widescreen picture into a full screen image so that everything just looks too long. But still not cool. Big Fish you can do better.

Note to Catalina: I am glad I deduced that a game would be out on Monday and elated some reviewers. Can you imagine if I had been incorrect? That being said, we don’t know as to how long BigFish will give us 2 games a week. But we can be grateful and thank them by buying and reviewing! Thank you, BigFish!
That being said, I liked certain features of this game but not others. ERS gives us beautiful graphics but the game interface ends about 70% down the screen of our tablets. Due to this fact, it makes it difficult to interact with complex items, easy to back-tap to a prior location, and the map, hint button and task button are all crammed together for a problematic selection of any of these.
You could customize settings. The graphics were well-executed, and the storyline was twisted but interesting. There was no journal. There was a marked teleport map to transport you between locations, with a slight lag time. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. The only collectibles were roses, which were hard to spot at some of the darker locations. You can then use these to open medallions, and you will have to see what happens and how you must use these medallions further. You have an adorable puppet doll to photograph clues for you; she is the only cute puppet in the game. The rest are quite creepy. The HO scenes had variation, although they were revisited. The puzzles/games were mostly simplistic and/or rotational. I would have liked more puzzles as well. This game was short even with the bonus adventure.
I deducted stars for the game interface, which made it seem like the gameplay was glitchy when it wasn’t that bad! Also I deducted stars for length and lack of puzzles. My true review is 3.5 stars. Kim, I agree with everything you said!
Truthfully I hope Thursday’s game is from a developer whose name does not begin with the letter E! Meaning no Elephant, EIPIX or ERS! I would be thrilled with Domini, 4 Friends or Mariaglorum, all of them having given us games we always rate between 4 and 5 stars at the very least! Happy gaming to all!
  • Rosie

So glad to see a new game. I’m enjoying this one. Key West Jessa
  • Thank you BF!

A ton of thanks for giving us a new game Sunday night/Monday.!! Even though it’s not a favorite I’m a fan of the series and enjoyed it enough to play it through. Mostly I was just so overjoyed to see another new release this week and it wouldn’t have really mattered what game, I would have bought it to show my appreciation. The game was touchy when placing items like a lot of ERS games have been. It’s also easy to leave a hos if you tap an item a tad close to the bottom of the screen- it dumps you right out of it. Otherwise good game. Excellent graphics as always from ERS. A lot thought the mini games were to easy but I didn’t. I thought they were average. Story was good. Keep them coming bf! Thank you so much! Hope to see a new Christmas game as in the past years!
  • Stuck

Not very far into the game then it just froze. Happened talking to the man who had puppets
  • Watch Your Back! Those "Bloody Puppets" Run the "Show" Here!

Warning: Some of you might be put off by the graphic violence and bloody imageries!

This installment of this long-running series is one of the better ones in a while, although it is not spectacular. Even though the storyline does not blow me away, at least the puppets are appropriately showcased as the stars of this game. The developer successfully designed a surreal world where macabre puppets run wild, creating panic and havoc upon the town. These little evil-doers are not to be taken lightly; for they mean business, as they commit heinous acts of violence and murder without any remorse. The ghastly visuals of the puppets are frightening but also mesmerizing at the same time. Their human-like qualities, such as their appearances, behavioral patterns, and speech, make them intriguing to observe; yet, these same qualities bring into focus their malicious and deadly ambitions. This developer is masterful at creating exquisite graphics; they are sharp and clear enough that one can see the fine outlines of the vast details. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. In custom mode, the teleport map facilitates slightly delayed travel to labeled locations and indicates available actions. The varied HOSs are pleasantly engaging, with puzzle-like elements strewn in; unfortunately, though, you will visit some scenes more than once. The puzzles are entertaining and suit the puppetry theme of the storyline; however, the level of challenge is disappointing. Most of them are very simple to solve. Transition between scenes is delayed by about two seconds. I have not come across any glitches, aside from the noted travel delay. The collectibles will be a letdown to those of you who look forward to this feature. There's only one collection set, which can be tedious to discover due to the dark settings. Overall, gameplay is highly interactive and satisfying, with enough diversity to hold my attention. One small quibble is that the layout of the main functions, such as the map and the tasks, is inconveniently cramped together in one corner, allowing an accidental tap on an undesired button. There are a multitude of tasks to effectuate in each location, but I still think that the game is going to be on the short side because I am flying seamlessly through it. My true rating is 3.5 stars to reflect the lack of challenge and the outdated feel of the game. However, I have to admit that I enjoy discovering what dirty tricks those little monsters have up their sleeves next, thereby elevating my rating to 4 stars. I suggest that you give the free trial a spin.
