- Various bug fixes and updates

1.1.2

November 7, 2018

We've added the ability to list multiple phone numbers that belong to you. If you have numbers forwarded from Google Voice or another service, this puts the power of MyNumberBlocker to work for you with these numbers. In addition, if you keep getting calls from certain prefixes, just enter the number as (XXX) XXX-0000 and it will block calls from that prefix.

Description of MyNumberBlocker

Stop unwanted phone calls! Have you started getting spam calls from phone numbers that resemble yours? If so, then MyNumberBlocker is for you! Simply enter your phone number and MyNumberBlocker blocks all numbers that have the same prefix as your phone number. Telemarketers use every game in the book to get you to answer your phone. This latest one is to trick you into believing that a friend or someone near you is calling you by spoofing the caller ID. There is currently no other way to stop these calls. Notes: • MyNumberBlocker requests access to your Contacts so that it doesn’t blocks contacts with the same phone number prefix. • MyNumberBlocker does NOT send your Contacts to a server nor communicates in a server in any way. • MyNumberBlocker cannot log your calls. • Blocked calls are sent directly to voicemail.

Reviews of MyNumberBlocker

Doesn’t work

I paid for this, downloaded the app. Immediately there were numbers on my non blocking list that I had no clue who they were. When I tried to update my contacts nothing happened. Into finding another product.

Response from developer

I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the app. The numbers on the non-block list come from your contacts. MyNumberBlocker goes through your contacts and looks for all numbers that have the same area code and prefix as your phone number and automatically adds them. So if you see numbers on the list, they are in your contacts. The Reload Contacts button will rebuild the list of numbers that will not be blocked by looking through your contacts, just like it did initially.

Does what it says

Simple, clear UI. Not fancy at all.

It appears to do what it says, although it would be nice if it kept a log of blocked calls, so I could see how much it’s really helping.

The price is fair, glad it’s not subscription based.

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! Unfortunately Apple doesn't give us the ability to look at the call history (as a privacy measure), so I can't add a logging of blocked calls. If you have AT&T's Call Protect app (if you are an AT&T subscriber), you can see all the calls as it records the calls at the network level.
