Nothing will show up when I open the app. I get a Ferris wheel and whenever I try to pick my qualities every white box is blank along with my partners choices...

If you turn off "dark mode" in your phone Take Two should work normally.
If dark mode is turned on, iOS is making the text white because it thinks it will be displayed against a dark background.
