  • Brilliant fun

What a great app or exploring your local park with your kids. Really easy to use and looking forward to using it around the country!

Have used this app twice now at the same park, using the dinosaur and planets games, my 7 year old loved them. His favourite part was the questions so my only recommendation is to put more questions on there!

Looking forward to seeing what the next game is!!

  • Kills your battery power

Such a great concept but only had chance to find one Dinosaur as my battery went from 100% to 30% in 10 minutes. I have now had to delete the app altogether as it was still draining my battery even know I wasn’t using the app. Such a shame because we loved the idea of this 🙁

Hi NikNokPark, so sorry you've had this issue. We test the app regularly to check that we are ok for battery drain and 1 of our games shouldn't eat anywhere near that amount of your battery, so we are really interested to find out more about your experience. We think it'll be something specific to your device and set up but we don't know exactly what that is. If you'd contact us on info@sprytar.com then we'll do everything we can to make this work for you because we love it to and want everyone to be able to play.
  • Updated review; all issues fixed

Downloaded easily enough and set up an account. I originally couldn’t get it to work but the developers were in touch and sorted all issues. We’ve used it successfully around Sandwell Valley and have lots of pictures of fairies. Good fun and encourages the reluctant to walk quite a distance on the hunt for fairies/dinosaurs.

O no Heraonolympia, that doesn't sound right. If you email us on info@sprytar.com then we'll see if we can fix it for you.
  • Amazing app! Great way to explore

Just discovered this app and how many sites there are where I live- (apparently our local council is really promoting park use atm and working with these guys ❤️) it’s really easy to use as a player and my 5 year old can track down the characters - and doesn’t even complain about all the walking!!!! Fantastic can’t wait to explore more!!!

  • Wow really impressed 5*

Never used anything like this before but both my 6 and 13 year old both enjoyed the dinosaur trail round Sewerby Hall today. Fabulous design, easy interaction with map reading and Dino facts to boot. Amazing idea. Can’t wait to use it in other places. Easy and fun to use even though we got all the questions wrong lol!!!

  • Unusable

Unusable on an iPad (I can’t speak for other devices).
To create an account every line of text went off the screen, so I had to guess at answers (to what the question might have been), there was no way of reviewing and updating the questions or some of the answers, and all of the main menu items were .>
In addition there was no back button on most screens, so the only way to navigate was to quit the app and restart it!

In short, a nice idea but rubbish.

O no Sam, sorry you had a bad time with this. TBH the app is not made for iPads and we thought we'd set it up to stop iPads being able to easily find and download it on the App Store. A lot of iPads don't have the connection hardware like GPS receivers and data connections that we need to make the app work well so we designed this to just be used on mobile phones for now.
  • Great App

Love this. Easy to use. Brilliant way to have fun and discover more about places you already know as well as quickly learning about new places you’re visiting. New areas being added all the time but can’t wait for the whole of the UK to be covered. Loads of new family fun at your fingertips.

Thank you for this wonderful review, it's great to see that you enjoyed it. Watch this space for more games that you can play outdoors together.
  • Fabulous concept, great for all ages

We (my 5 yr old son and I) had a fab time as always at Burnby Hall, but once we’d fed the fish, had a play in the playground had a mooch round and a spot of lunch we were going to leave and then came across Sprytar. What a fabulous idea. Bringing technology and history together. I can imagine if you had an older child who is a bit old for feeding the fish or playing in the playground this App would be right up their street.
We spent an extra hour + there doing the various trails and quizzes.
Such a fantastic concept and we look forward to finding other venues with Sprytar, massive 👍

Hey Anna, we are sorry that it's taken so long for us to reply to this wonderful review. It's great to see that you enjoyed it. We will have a Dinosaur Safari that you can play in Burnby Hall coming this week so do let us know how you get on if you have time to go back and enjoy it.
  • Good morning in the park

I have lived in Manchester for years and started going to the park more now that my kids are a bit bigger. They loved finding the pink things in the park and we all liked working out the answers. It would be better if there were more questions though.

    Developer Response

Thank you for your feedback, it really does make a big difference to hear how people are getting on. There will be more questions soon. We have them ready and will release them slowly over the next few months along with some other new games for the park.
  • The sprogs loved Sprytar!

The sprogs (not mine) but my sisters’ were coming to London for a rare visit...I wanted to make it fun and I wanted it to be special but I wasn’t quite sure what to do with an age range of 3-25! A friend recommended I should check out Sprytar and I’m so glad we did! We did the Treasure Hunt and it was “such fun”. Sprogs and adults alike loved it and I learnt a thing or too about my local park which I never knew. Anyone with children, or even if you don’t, should check out Sprytar. Great outdoor entertainment!
