Promising but plenty of work to do yet
First the good bit. Searching for music now gets and organizes results for every connected source and presents them separately, just like Roku has been doing for a decade, and without mashing everything together like Roon does. FINALLY!
With that out of the way, heres where I found it weak.
The white on gray theme is jarring and tougher to use, especially coming from Kazoo. No choice between album covers or list in search results. No option to resize or condense information on the screen and padding is too large. No sort or filter criteria on search results (date of release, quality, A-Z).
Slightly tighter integration with Linn account, that’s fine. System inputs (hdmi etc) are now on the system page and not listed together as a music source, and music sources are now in a new ‘browse’ screen. It’s kind of the opposite of Kazoo and not really better... yet.
The app desperately needs a dark theme, more search control, more system control —leaving the app for the website is lame—but this is a good start.
