Tutorial could use improvement
I think I’ve figured it out but for us non-sailors I found the tutorial confusing. I did what the text said but didn’t understand why. “Increase sail” and “decrease sail” didn’t make sense to me, maybe explaining it as corresponding to angle and trying to catch the wind would be more insightfulsboxle

Terrible controls
I’ve sailed boats my whole life so I was excited to see this game, but the controls are a real let down. Conceptually the game is awesome! And I love how you can adjust the sail in a pretty realistic way, but it’s so hard to coordinate tapping the left and right sides of the screen to steer while sliding the bottom for the sail.
Maybe have a joystick style control for the steering direction and a slider for the sail?Show lessuranusmonkey

Wind matters!
This is the first sailboat game I have played in a long time that understands sailing and try's to simulate a small boat regatta. 5 stars for That! That said, it has a lot of room for improvement. I find the controls a little tricky. The rudder seems very sensitive. Maybe a more analog adjustable tiller on the bottom of the screen with a vertical sheet control? Also, the tutorial I think is inadequate for someone who has never sailed before. A more closeup view of what the sail is doing when you adjust the sheet and a speed indicator might be helpful to show people new to sailing how you can adjust the sail to get the most speed in a given direction. Lastly, why can't I buy it to remove the ads? Anyway, a great game and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in sailing.Show lessPaper Dragon Games
