  • Items won't download

I loved this app back when I could just one-time purchase things, but now that the world is going to subscription based purchases, so too did this app. Now I have to pay a monthly subscription for artwork that half the time won't even download. Sorry, but this proves that even when you have something great, all it takes is a subscription to ruin it for all.

  • Ah! Just what I was looking for BUT

I would really, really prefer this app in landscape mode as I use my iPad as such while I run games. I find the portrait-only style limiting enough to dock a star.

Other than this, the app (especially the free version) is exactly what I need for items on the fly.

    Landscape mode! Please!
  • Good first swipe.

I like this app. I think the art and items are unique and fun to work with. I use it. I like it. My hope is that the designers will update and fix some user interface issues around adding a back button to easily switch between different items or go back to the main list from an item. They can streamline purchasing new packs as well. Overall, good app to use in your DM tool kit.

  • Great Repository for New and Experienced DMs

Don’t like having to dig through various books for magic items? Don’t like having to create magic items from scratch and keep them stored on paper or in random folders? This app is perfect for getting quick and unique magic items on the fly as well as pre-planning magic items and even creating your own. Seriously can’t recommend this enough. Edit: issue currently with the new pack release that has two eagle helms at the top of all of my item groups, hope to see it fixed soon and hopefully corresponding NPCs in the NPC for hire app :-)

  • Beautiful art, poor implementation

Is it really so hard to allow you to click on a picture to bring up the description? As it is all you get is pretty pictures with nothing that I can find to take you to the description…
  • ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL

I don’t know (as a DM) what I would do with out this app. Even the mundane magical items it creates my players absolutely love and find very interesting ways to use. I recommend this app to everyone I know who loves DND and I hope they come out with more additional stuff soon!
  • Good app, one bug is annoying

If you have a un-named magic item group you are unable to delete or edit it in anyway. Any fixes for this? It doesn’t break anything but is annoying to look at and Just makes navigating the menu clunkier
  • Beautiful

I can’t say enough about this app it is truly amazing. Randomly generated items with pictures histories and capabilities especially if you spring to get the perks this ad really is amazing
  • Best used as a magic item maker

Although not perfect, it’s everything I could have asked for in a free app. It has a collection of magic items to get you started, but I find that the true value is in making your own magic items. It gives you a verity of text boxes clearly labeled with the item’s name, the rarity, the description (a place for flavor text), mechanics, and requirements (for example, if the item requires attainment). And if that wasn’t enough it also lets you sort them neatly into separate groups.

And if that wasn’t enough, it also has a verity of nice pictures to help you craft your own items (with many art packs for sale to give you more pictures). But if you’re broke like me then they also have the option to add your own picture. But if you use this app as much as I do to help make store all the homebrew magic items then I encourage you to do right by the devs and buy an art pack or two to help support their work.

  • I love it!!!

I love it. I’ve also love the NPC compendium. You could do something like this but with beasts/creatures or something. But you guys are doing great. Keep up the good work!
