Why isn’t there a trial
I want to try this but don’t want to pay anything unless I know it’ll run well. It’s 2024. Where’s the trial?

Excellent app, works perfectly with Backbone game controller!!
Excellent app, and fantastic application support! At this point, I’ve only played one of its included games (Space Invaders), and it’s been a joy (Space Invaders is just how I remember it, with authentic game sounds). The app works perfectly with the Backbone game controller (no issues whatsoever). It’s so nice to be able to play so many included games from my youth, and I look forward to exploring the app’s vast assortment of games! A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ app in my opinion!

Doesn’t work
Pretty disappointed as I was excited to play the games. Had to pay for the subscription and then as soon as I tried to play any game it repeatedly just said ‘something went wrong’ over and over again. I’ve closed the app, even restarted my phone, nothing works. So a waste of the money spent on the subscription

Doesn't seem to work with game controllers
I've tried two different types of game controllers and both failed after five to ten seconds of play.
UPDATE to first review: After a couple of weeks of frustration, I discovered that the problem is connected to the use of a VPN service. When my iPad Pro is connected to a VPN service, regardless of the vpn server's location, game controllers work fine in Antstream's menu system but fail within five to ten second of game play. When the VPN service is shut off, the controllers works as expected. I've revised my rating from 1-star to 4-stars.

Antstream On iPhone
I’ve been using the Anstream on a PC browser for quite sometime. So it’s nice to find the app has the same interface and functionality I’m used too. And the on screen controls work well.

Great stuff
I’ve been deeply into retro games all my life, indeed before they were retro, and it’s great to have so many playable on iOS all in one place. (Could do with some BBC/Electron ones though.)
Streaming them is a bit unusual I suppose but it seems to work well so far. Normally if I wasn’t on original hardware I’d run games in an emulator, but then again, this is a phone and not a PC, and this is definitely less effort.
I haven’t looked much at challenges yet but what I have seen looks worth a try.
