Good app
Its so Easy to use and don't need to carry my club card now. You can see previous purchases and create shopping lists and see specials deals too..

Inconsistent
Why is it that something that should be easy to find - the different departments of a supermarket - has more become impossible to locate? Specials? Easy. What you bought before? Sure. Your previous lists? No problem. But being able to go into the frozens or fruit & veg is now not an option. You must search for every item separately or trawl through specials.
Surely there is still a way to shop department by department? 😔

Worst app to exist
I’m never one to go out of my way to write negative feedback but this is probably one of the worst apples I’ve had experience with to-date. On countless occasions, I have received error screens where I’m asked to try again or relaunch the app. After doing so NUMEROUS times the same error appears and persists even after I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app. Additionally, once I eventually get it to work, it logs me out and requests I log in again AND when I attempt to it throws back an error. As someone who is a loyal New World shopper, this is such a pain point when I’m at the check out and it just won’t work so I’m unable to scan my card. I’ve contacted New World via phone and email a ridiculous amount of times going back and forth and quite frankly, staff are absolutely useless. As someone who works in technology within the mobile app space, please fix this, for good.

Unreliable
I just have reinstalled this app five times in the last 9 months as it is just never there when I’m looking to scan my card instore. I wound mine but for the discounts that are only available if a card is used. Surely the app should be better to help deliver on the advertising promises. But maybe that’s why? It would be nice if foodstuffs could invest in making the app work

It’s a bit pernickety
I decided to use the app instead of carrying yet another card, but lately each time I go into store and try to use it, the app won’t load. I get home and try it again, and it loads but asks me to login again. Today at the supermarket same issue, the checkout operator said several people have complained about the same issue… yet when I tried again out in my car, it worked no problem. I was on mobile data in the car so mobile data isn’t the problem. Very frustrated. I have now tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that helps, but I shouldn’t have to do that.

Can’t login
Have used this app for a couple years and it was fine but about a month ago I opened the app in store to scan my card and it logged my out, tried to login but it said my account was locked, tried numerous times to reset the password, deleted and re-downloaded the app but it comes up with account is locked message even before I’ve filled out the email address field to login. Have gone back to using the old plastic physical card.

New world are robbing us blind and seemingly none of that money goes towards making a usable app
If you forget your card at home just request the cashier look up your phone number and save yourself the trouble of trying to get this app to work. Despite the negative reviews I downloaded the app and was immediately shown why. Couldn’t log in so requested to reset my password. No email came despite the app saying an email had been sent. Repeated this about a million times to be sure and didn’t receive a single email not even in the junk folder.

Poor onboarding
Took me forever to get it set up because they don’t allow pasting of passwords in the account set up. So rather than actually be secure and allow people to use a password manager with complex passwords you’re forced to type one in. Fine, but you can’t even see what password you’re typing in and so have to fall back to something basic and then try and change it later. You should actually try doing some user testing before releasing such a bad user experience.

Deleted out of pure rage
I’ve never written a review on the App Store before, but this app has gotten me so incensed I had to rant about it. I hardly ever go to NW and I only use the app to scan my clubcard in-store, because I don’t carry my wallet with me all the time. But here’s the thing: THIS APP WON’T WORK WITH MOBILE DATA. It works fine at home with my wifi, but when I’m actually in the supermarket trying to open up my clubcard to scan, it will not work. So today after having to pay triple the amount for several items that were a ‘members only’ special, I came home and deleted the stupid app off my phone forever. Good riddance.

Countdown app better
First time using this, first the time slots are always not available like who wants to place an order for grocery and get it delivered 4days later? Second, on my first online order i dod delivery but still emailed me to go pick up my shopping and provide ID and the card i provided on my account for them to see and pay at the counter? Makes no sense. Also when finished placing order you cant keep track of it like how countdown notifies you that someone is picking your order, driver is picking it up and on its way.
