App is NOT free and cannot be used without paying!
If the company replies to this review with their canned message that Tor is free and does not contain ads, it is a LIE. As soon as you install the free version, within 2 minutes, an ad pops up saying to purchase a monthly subscription to continue and there is NO WAY to exit out of this pop up ad. You can see DOZENS of reviews here saying the same thing. How can the company possibly reply to these reviews saying it can be used for free? It's simply NOT TRUE. You can NOT close the pop up window that advertises the subscription without purchasing it. So I figured I would try the subscription. What the heck. It outright doesn't work. Almost every website you go to, before the page even loads, it pops up with an error message saying your connection has been broken. I was curious about this browser, certainly the reviews speak well of it, but there’s a catch. It doesn’t say anything about in-app purchases but in order to access even the “free” program you have to do so with the assumption that after a few days it turns into a paid subscription. Why not just say you have to pay for this app to enjoy any aspect of it. Right when you’re using it an ad pops up and renders your screen useless. There’s no way around closing the ad without closing the app. The timer for the ad to disappear is an hour plus. I had this app and was freely browsing the other side of the web fine at first. Then, I’m not sure if there was an update or a bug, but every website I visited started to prompt my phone to download whatever was on the website. Anytime I clicked a link or went to a site, I was automatically asked to download files. Considering the inherent danger of the other side of the web, I deleted the app and will not be using it again. One wrong move or a glitchy ghost click could mean losing every last piece of privacy this app was meant to uphold.Show lessShadowman1694
Feels secure
This app keeps me safe from all that nonsense advertising following me everywhere trying to sell me things I had searched on clicked. It’s scary like someone is stalking you.

The paywall comes up out of nowhere and at 3 am can go completely unnoticed if you’re in the middle of something and cause a click in the most opportune place for them to secure an unauthorised payment and if your face is already facing the camera you just face id’d a payment without consent. The Subscription option
I love this Torrent app, but I do have only two complaints. The first is the inability to use the brave search engine. The second is that there is a subscription option but no one-time-payment option. The subscription price isn’t bad at all. Pretty good
Even though it is not an official version of Tor browser it is a good port of it. Most iPhone ports of Tor have a paywall on them but the paywall here is only for certain parts of the VPN. Overall good way to access the “Dark Web” but I highly recommend using tails Linux if you want complete security and encryption.Show lessThe Time Keeper!
Have to reconnect everytime after waking; Fremium annoying tactics
EVERY single time your iPhone/pad wakes after a few minutes of inactivity, you have to manually reconnect by going into the app or your VPN toggle in Settings. Emailed them and they said it’s necessary to protect your identity. Don’t consider myself a newbie when it comes to tech, and honestly don’t understand that. Regardless, the fact that you have to manually reconnect dozens of times per days is a dealbreaker to me….
In addition, an ad for the Premium will eventually pop up if you decide to do anything in the app. Worse, when I tried out the free 3 day trial, happened to read the fine print and it says you have to cancel the trial 24 hrs before the 3 days or it automatically renews, deceptive. And despite saying you can use it on all devices, couldn’t transfer the trial to my iPad, and customer service never answered how….
Premium has decent speed and I think protectivity but the faults above make it impossible to use for meShow lessNJacuguy
Forcing pay
App forces you to pay for a subscription, it claims to have free browsing but that’s a lie. It will have a pop up open on your screen with no way to bypass it.
