To associate the Black Madonna with a dark-skinned woman connected with darkness, sorrow and loss is to pull back on historical negative stereotypes of African and African American women. Darkness and Light are both good as stated in the Genesis sacred myth of creation. As an African American woman I see the Black Madonna beckoning me to a place of inner solitude and self discovery- not something evil, sorrowful or loss.Show lessdrsujai

Im going through one of the worst disappointments in the last few days and these cards with Mary and Jesus intercession has helped me realize it is ok to be angry, sad, lost, hurt, and confused. I was raised Catholic and although I fell away from the church, I always felt a connection and love for the Blessed Mother Mary. These cards have helped me build a spiritual bond with Mary, the mother of all that is. I meditate daily on one card and feel Mary’s love. Need to offer more cards by halving the messages on each of the existing cards. No spirit would go on and on like this with each card message. Remember many of u use cards daily, we don’t want zen entire letter to read when we choose several cards.aaargh2
