  • Love it.

I bought all the puzzles at once and now have only the easiest left. When are you issuing more?
  • Sad

I love this game but find it too pricey so will not get it.
  • NEED SCORING

I LOVE this new type of word game. It is pretty challenging and I am only at the beginning. Four stars only because there is no explanation of scoring. What are the "hints" costing me? Can I EARN new puzzle packs? Or will I only be able to pay for them. I need incentives to truly enjoy a game. Other than that, I haven't been challenged in quite a while in any word game, it's really fun to play.

    Developer Response

We're glad you are enjoying the game! The app comes with 15 free hints. After that, unlimited hints are available for purchase. We don't have a way to earn packs.
  • Great...

Once again the limited vocabulary of apps catering to the limited vocabulary of the masses...

    Other than that, ok.
  • Good, but...

What if when you put in a correct letter it changed color so you knew rather than having to click check? Or are you supposed to fill the in entire thing and do check and hope you find which letter is incorrect?
  • Have to pay for all new puzzles

Unlike other games, there are no free daily puzzles after you finish the 12 “Beginner” puzzles.
    Give it a miss.1
  • Challenging, addictive, accessible

I have tried several crossword puzzles in the past, but this one tops them all. I like that, with the all access pass, you can get unlimited hint letters, if needed. Also, the developer has gone above and beyond to make this crossword puzzle completely accessible to voiceover users. Thanks for a great game. Loving it.

  • So disappointed.

With so many crossword type games available at no charge in the App Store & online, it’s amazing that Blue Ox doesn’t provide players a chance to earn the next level up of play. I whipped through the 18 Free boards in about 30 minutes.

Guess I’ll stick to Worlds Biggest in the App Store & the NYT crossword puzzle. Bye bye blue.

  • Nice variation on the crossword

Having played the free puzzles, I’ve now paid for the rest. So far, I’m enjoying them - tricky enough to be interesting but not so hard that I lose heart.

If there’s a query, the developers are quick to respond. Their other games are good too and they’re worth supporting.

Thank you so much for your kind words!
  • Not too easy

Best part is that it is difficult and makes you work. Not really fun if you do in 2-3 minutes.
