  • Please fix controls

Game is perfect except the controls are very unresponsive. And no swiping dosent work. Hard to operate

Have you tried swiping? You can swipe on screen anywhere to control the player!
  • Need a joystick

Great, nostalgic game. However, it’s very hard without a joystick. Hoping there will be an upgrade to make it more user friendly.
  • Munchman Memories!

Thank you for hard work of bringing this brilliant Ti 99 4a game back to life in iOS! It’s totally spot on!
    Please remaster ‘The Attack’ !
You’ll make me and I’m sure other Ti nuts very happy !
  • Great to see it; impossible control timing

Played this often growing up and am so happy to see it again in what appears to be a pure recreation. However without the no-lag input of keys, the control scheme here whether utilizing on screen touch arrows or swipes make this an exercise in frustration, making the precisely timed inputs required nearly impossible to achieve.

  • It’s time for a bug fix.

I lived on this game as a kid, and as thrilled as I am that you have brought it back, I must point out...

The finger swipe control works pretty well on my new iPhone 11 though it’s far from ideal, and that’s only when in regular mode. As others have stated, once the Munchman eats a power pellet and goes into speed mode there are several turns that are entirely too difficult and are nearly impossible to hit, thus distracting from the classic fluidity the original game had on the Texas Instrument.

The swipe controller is one thousand times better than the other option of the directional controller you have offered, but the swipe controller definitely still needs some work, because it really could be fun if it worked better, but as is, it’s a bit disappointing.

  • Amazing recreation, but controls tough

I played this game for countless hours when I was a kid, and was so pleased to see this online. It’s everything I remember, but you can’t get past level 1 with these controls.

Initially I though the only means of control was the little direction icons on the screen which made the game unplayable. The developer pointed out to me there were swipe controls which I didn’t know about, so I amended my review.

Swipe controls make the game much easier, but it’s still very tough to execute specific turns, making the game very hard to play. Particularly when munch man is in speed mode after his power pellet. Not sure if the solution. Maybe have an option to slow gameplay or fine tune the swiping. When I was a kid using a keyboard, I was able to beat level 99 after a few days of play. It would be nice to have that level of control again.

I love simple games like this to kill time in waiting rooms, but until the controls get improved a bit more, it’s not really playable.

Hi thanks for the feedback. It does have swipe controls. You can swipe anywhere on the screen. Please give it a try!
  • Please improve the controls!

I used to play this all the time back in the 89s, so I was delighted to see this available (and with a little luck, “Tunnels of Doom” won’t be far behind).

Unfortunately, the controls are so lousy as to be unusable. The screen buttons are small and extremely unresponsive; not good for a game focusing on speed and making quick turns.

The port is perfect, but please fix the controls!

Hi and sorry to hear you don't get on with the controls. I'm looking at ways to improve it but do you know you can swipe anywhere on the screen to move Munch Man? Also the game supports MFI controllers.
  • AWESOME!!

Thank you SO MUCH for giving us Munch Man!! I loved this game as a kid, and missed it terribly! What was cool about the Texas Instruments computers, is that it was set up to code, play a few games, and spread sheets and word, this was BEFORE cell phones and the internet, so imagine life when it was simpler and home gaming was new.

  • Munch Man

A great port of the TI99/4A Game called Munch Man. Instead of eating pills like in PacMan you leave a chain. When you fill the maze with chain you advance to the next level.
