  • Easily addicting

I was extremely annoyed at first with the amount of ads and rarely do I pay for a version without as they are never usually too bad. However without paying for the ad free version I’m sure you spend 90% of the app time watching ads. Super glad I paid to get rid of them though! The game is fun!
  • just no.

Ok, so I like golf games (absolutely rubbish IRL), idk what it is they're just really fun. Anyways I downloaded this without looking at the reviews which is actually something I usually do, thinking it looked okay-ish, and wow. Ads. Jesus. I get making money and all, but they're just too much. Also, logic is just sort of thrown out the window with this game. I mean, only two tries at a round, and I think the levels started off wayyyyyyyy too hard. Please fix this game, because it could be so good if you did! Thanks.

  • The keys make it so bad

I started playing this game before the update that included birds and keys, and when the update came out I was okay with it. Yeah it made the game a little harder, but I liked the challenge. But then the problems started. Too many times I’ll have a 20 hole in one streak, and then it gives me an impossible hole. The key will spawn right above the water line or at the end of a cliff leading to water, and I’m forced to destroy my streak to complete the hole. It’s insured and has led me to considering deleting the game if I can’t even hope to create huge streaks. These problems need to be fixed, I don’t care if the keys are removed or not, but the shot that you take to get the key shouldn’t count as one of your shots if it guarantees death.

  • Stick to The Basics

I got this game when it first came out and it was a simple game you could play for hours. When I first downloaded it I was skeptical of it, if I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times, this developer is just plain lazy when it comes to how cyclical their games are, however this one was different. It started as an easy game, no birds or keys. Just golf. When it was just golf I would have easily given it 5 Stars, but now it has all this stuff they added on and it really made the app a lot worse. This was my favorite game before it was over run with updates that no one wanted. There is nothing more I want from this developer than a “classic” mode where you get three strokes and there’s no birds or keys. Next time (if you can make a game even half as fun), don’t ruin a good thing, keep it simple.

  • ADS!!!!

I have literally NEVER played a game with so many advertisements in it. It was actually ridiculous. Now I understand that you can pay to get the adverts away but there were SO many that it’s clear they put them in so that you have no choice but to pay. That’s not cool. That’s not ok. Whoever made this game wants to get a grip. Deleted after it after a minute and a half

  • Good, could be better.

Apparently, I got this app after the notorious update that has other gamers upset. Therefore, I can only review this based on a post-update point of view. First, yes, there are plenty of ads - one at the end of every round after you lose and one to gain an “extra ball” or a “second chance.” However, this game is not good enough to be worth paying $2.99 just to remove the ads at the end of every round. With that said, the game is entertaining enough to pass the time and I’ve played quite a bit. My high score right now is 309, which took a lot of playing to get to that.

My biggest issue with gameplay is that keeping a hole-in-one streak is guaranteed to end with either a terribly placed key, or a bird with a very short back and forth flight pattern while hovering directly over a key or the hole itself. Hitting the bird should change the ball’s trajectory, NOT take the ball (along with one of two shots) away.

My only suggestion to the developers would be to bring back the pre-update version and have it as a “Normal” play selection on the home screen, with the current version labeled as “Hard” or “Advanced.”

  • Lots of fun, needs orientation fix.

This game is simple but addictive. Yes, I paid to remove the ads. I enjoy unlocking the skins and balls. The physics are fine once you get used to them. My biggest issue is on my iPad Air 2. The game only formats in landscape one way; when I turn the iPad around, the game does not orient to the other landscape position. It’s uncomfortable because of the cover I use. It’s awkward and I don’t want to remove the cover every time I play. Please consider addressing this is in a future update. Otherwise I am enjoying the game more than any of the other 2D golf games, and chasing my own high score is a blast.

  • Terrible

As a game that has a skill curve which requires the player to learn the gauge of how hard to hit a golf ball a new player such as myself might take a while to get it down. It is VERY frustrating to have to watch a 20 second ad every 10 seconds of gameplay because I am constantly messing up. For Christ’s sake I’m watching ads for more time than I’m playing the actual game! Awful design and nobody wants to pay money just to make ads go away. The ads in this game should be throttled WAAAYYY back. It couldn’t have costed that much money to design and create voodoo I mean come on you guys spew out a new mobile game just about every week. I say cut the ads I’m half or at least make skippable ads.

  • Misery Business

Like Paramore, what was once great has gone down hill (pardon the golf pun) and confirmed to the standard of others of its kind in the process. I played this game for the first time in a month this morning and found my first shot frozen so I had to exit the app and start over then my next attempt was frozen before the ball even landed and I was presented with an ad instead. Now I remember why I stopped playing this game.
Prepare yourself for the advertising apocalypse.
