Disgruntled hosts taking it out on guests
If customers “only” spend the minimum amount required to be part of the program, they get side eyed, chastised, and they get called out in that group that is supposed to be about ‘experiences’. I understand the hosts are having an experience as well, but I think it’s SUPER tacky, and horrible business practice to come at the customer, and create a culture of ‘bullying the customers’ like has developed in that group. It’s counter productive at minimum, and harvest host should not allow them to do this, it hurts them, but mostly it hurts harvest host.
When everyone is telling you “don’t join” in response to legitimate concerns that many others have as well, you will undoubtably lose business unnecessarily.
