Description of Pediatric Blood Pressure Guide

The latest guidelines for child and adolescent high blood pressure are difficult to parse in their table form. Now, with three clicks, you can get your answer in less than five seconds. This utility is for physicians and support staff to determine where their patient falls in the normative pediatric blood pressure tables, based on normal-weight children. The current dataset is from Pediatrics August 2017 publication "Clinical Practice Guideline for Screening and Management of High Blood Pressure in Children and Adolescents", Flynn et al.

Reviews of Pediatric Blood Pressure Guide

Too hard to put height in now

I used to love this app but with the upgraded the only option to put age and height is with a sliding bar. It is too difficult to accurately adjust the height now.

Limited

I was hoping this would be more helpful. I’m an RN, and my son suffered a hypertensive stroke at age 5. I wanted a place to not only see percentiles but also record his BP’s in one place (& not have to change the age and height with each login). I also wanted to see my 12-yr old’s norms, but at 66-67” tall, it doesn’t allow me to do that.

Response from developer

I am sorry to hear that the app doesn't meet those specific needs. It is designed for a clinical setting around the research paper which does not include someone that tall or tracking individuals. You would need to contact the researchers to see if they have any corresponding data.

Must have for paeds doctors!

Great app, saves a lot of time and very useful!
