  • Hopeless

Could be great, but ridiculously over complicated and then crashes. Fail
  • This should be zero ⭐️

This app is shockingly bad! It’s sluggish, doesn’t work most of the time, when it does it isn’t fit for purpose! No updates for over a year!! If it wasn’t for the fact my nutritionist is using this I would be going straight back to MyFitness Pal
  • Not happy

Making a recipe, I’m adding foods, then suddenly I get error messages, or it freezes. 5 clicks between selecting one food portion, hit return,,hit save,(why is that two processes?) back to recipe, look in info, select, scroll, add ingredient, VR doesn’t work this time, so type it in..... until you can (try to) enter the next item. All very frustrating. I have 4 more ingredients to enter, But it just won’t let me save them.
The quantity adjuster for portion size gets in the way of the figures I’ve entered, on my iPad (better on my phone, strangely). And then won’t close, nor let me edit the amount. Freezes. Then sneakily the app enters the foods as snacks instead of part of my recipe. I didn’t ask it to, I wasn’t even aware I could at that point! I never got to the end of my recipe, and I’ve no idea how I’d use it in logging my food, but I’ve already given up. For now. This thing is what my dietitian wants me to use, so I’ve got to try again. Sorry I’m incoherent with frustration. Yes I have written to support. If they help me I’ll leave a better review!

I see I’m not alone, and when I click on Support, you offer stuff for the professionals, on the PC, not we end users using our phones and tablets, from my initial look at any rate.

  • Trying to be too clever before getting the basics right

I’m using this app as part of my uni course but it really needs work. Stop with the clever interfaces (like VR) and just get entering food easier. The constant visible “flashy” refreshing of data, like the tracker wheels is really heavy on the eyes. Great things are the front screen trackers. They’re fabulous and why I’m sticking with it. I also like the photos of food quantities. However, the barcode database lacks many common items from major UK supermarkets. Multi-add is buggy and regularly adds two of one food in the list and misses another out. Changing portion sizes once the food is added doesn’t seem to work - or at least it’s not clear if it has. And a really major problem is that you can’t see your progress summed up in any way. You can’t see data for anything other than a day so if you want to see your Vitamin A intake for a week (much more relevant than per day), you can’t. This app has the potential to be great, but at the moment it’s form over function.

  • Decent app

I use this app for my professional athletes and it works really well! Lots of great ideas to interface with the app and is very user friendly! I a few glitches, but I know the app is in beta testing, so hoping for improvements. Overall, 4/5.
  • Friction

Possibly the worst designed UI I have used in many years. The Dieticians/PT you sell the analysis software to want their clients to stay on their diet. This app is insanely hard to enter food. Ditch the gimmick of voice entry. It clearly has a api approach. So give people a web interface. Don’t try it on 4G you will loose your mind. I get you want to get people to do your data entry for you and as you are science based you don’t want junk. But why don’t you licence a DB like weight loss resources?

  • Very buggy

No way I could ask my clients to use this app. Crashed constantly, and new bugs cropped up every day.
  • Crashes More than it works

Think it makes you lose weight through building your stress levels just trying to log a meal... to point where you just give up and not eat rather having to use the app..
  • Dreadfully programmed

So slow, crashes all the time and has such a limited library of food. Also, no way to link to an activity monitor like a Fitbit or Apple Watch.
  • Lots of Glitches

The concepts of filling your circles is great if it worked. I am having trouble with the targets so none of my food is counting towards my circles filling up throughout the day. I’m finding that the scanner isn’t that helpful because I’ve having to manually add my own nutritional labels. Also, it’s pretty slow compared to other apps such as loseit or my fitness pal.
